Day 45

Movie: Perfume the Story of a Murderer
Starring: Ben Whishaw, Alan Rickman
Genre: Drama, Horror,
Year: 2006
Format: DVD

Plot: A young man who with a natural ability to mix perfumes, after hearing about an Egyptian tomb where a secret perfume had once been found, goes on a killing spree as he tries to create the mythical god mixture.

This is Frankenstein story. Creating something from death.

This movie is both compelling and disturbing, keeping you glued to the screen but constantly cringing.  The vampiric plot of this movie is obvious, reminding at moments of The Dark Crystal  {also a vampire movie}

The lead character has little dialog but manages to express himself with a much greater easy with just a stare.
It's based on a novel.

What do I think I learned from this film?
 You can not truly capture the soul of someone without first loosing yours.  To be a god is to be neither angelic or demonic but to be neutral, and that innocence can not be bottled for long.
