I have one word for this. Retarded. Yep, I thought it was a really stupid premise.
I'm not sure if the "moral of the story" is knowing when you've found your one, or always allow second chances, or not to be a dink gambling in the first place? But it all seems to be covered in this movie.
You've got a guy who's afraid to commit, a woman who doesn't seem to know her worth, and a con artist. Had this been taken a bit more on the serious side, it would have made for a good drama, but instead, the comedy just didn't take hold. And the side story of the Parker character semi-falling for the James Caan character, just made her seem weak.
what did I learn? I'll never be an Elvis fan.
