"You smell like Rolf. Why?" The Seer asked.
"Long story." our heroine replied.
"Where are they anyways?" he smoothed down his hair, looking around the room.
"Longer story." she answered. "All you need to know right now is that we are short an alpha." she said turning to look at Ash.
"I think you can handle it." Ash answered licking his lips shrugging. The older werewolf gave her a pointed grin, sniffing her shoulder. "Yeah, you really smell like Rolf."
"I'm not a werewolf." the female pointed at the older male.
The Seer cleared his throat ducking his eyes. "Have you looked in the mirror? I thought it was Rolf coming to help me. It's all I could smell, still smelling."
"Yeah well...get used to it. God only knows how long I'm going to be..."
"A werewolf?" Ash remarked "You've obviously been given the ability to shift, I mean..." he gestured towards her. "You misted clothes, which suit you much better by the way."
"Okay, let me point out what you all have missed." she grabbed her boobs. "I'm a chick." All three of them, Ash, the Seer and Leo burst into a fit of laughter.
"Those are really hard to miss." The Seer snickered. "I'm just saying you could poke someone's eyes out with those."
"Women like you why?"
"I'm sexy as hell." he winked at her.
"There's no rule, I don't think, that says a female can't be a pack alpha. I mean, I've never met one but that's mostly because female werewolves are so few. Besides you are the alpha's mate. Gives you every ...oh hell just do it." Ash added closing his eyes. "It's not a job right now, for any of us. While Reuben is..."
"Huh, Dagan actually." our heroine squeaked.
Ash tilted his neck towards her squinting. "Pardon me?"
"Really really long story. But Dagan is alpha again and I'm back with him. Actually, that's why he's alpha again." the female glanced towards Leo who suddenly made a noise under his breath, his face down playing with the ends of his hair.
Meanwhile...
Dagan put the bowl on the table as he moved his chair sitting down. "Oh my god. I can't believe that kitchen." he mumbled grabbing chocolate sauce and honey, pouring it on top of the ice-cream.
"Dude you're going to rot your teeth out." Rolf said flicking his hair out of his face.
"No I'm not." Dagan mindlessly answered as he proceeded to add candied cherries. "I'm a lycanthrope I can eat anything." he shrugged making a duckbill. "Okay, almost anything."
"The longer you are away from her, the worse your sugar habit has gotten."
Dagan screwed up his nose at the larger male. "Longer I'm away? Wha...it's been like nine hours we've been here."
Rolf shook his head. "Help me out here." he said to Reuben.
The other male smirked. "Nope, on your own." he answered as he cut into the plate of pancakes in front of him.
"I'm just saying, that when she's not around, you load up on the sugary stuff so that your blood is all she can smell, all she can think about the second you are around her again."
"No I don't." Dagan held his spoon in mid-air. "Okay yeah I guess I do. But she hasn't bonded with you. You Rolf have no idea what it's like."
The larger male looked at him sideways from under his hair. "Dude, my soul was split. Nosferatu, your mate, has a piece of my soul. Literally. We're beyond bonded."
"How does that work?" Reuben asked.
Rolf shook his head. "Very carefully." he pushed the empty plate away leaning back in his chair, arms folded over his chest.
"So you're connected?" the dark haired male sniffed.
Rolf nodded licking his lips. "Flashes mostly. I know for instance that she saved the Seer from an amazon by ripping her to pieces, that she's misting clothes." he shrugged clearing his throat giggling. "I know her better than either of you. And I've never shacked up with her." He shuttered for effect.
"So what, you're saying is that you're better than us because you decided being pack alpha wasn't worth your time? Huh is that it?" Dagan tossed his spoon down, chocolate flying everywhere, landing on his arm.
Rolf shrugged again, flicking his hair out of his face. "Dagan, I never said that. That's not what I meant."
"What did you mean?" Reuben asked from his seat on the other end of the table. He pulled his hair back into one of his trademark too smooth to be human ponytails. "Enlighten us."
"It's more like...I just know stuff." his eyes went wide. "Just like I'm sure she now knows stuff about me."
"Like a sixth sense twin thing?" Reuben continued.
"Maybe." the larger male sighed, leaning forward, his elbows on the table. "Seriously. It's not ..." he sighed again closing his eyes. "It's not like anything I can explain." He got up from the table, pacing around the room. "I see what she sees, feeling what she's feeling. I have her memories. And to answer your comment Dagan, I don't think I'm better than you. I just don't understand why you took the coward's way out to become alpha? Na actually I do understand."
Dagan got in Rolf's face, nose to nose mumbling to himself. "Coward?" he poked him in the chest. "How is my method being a coward?" he blew at his bangs, thinking maybe it was time to cut them.
"Alright man, let's see. Fight Reuben for it. He is quicker and stronger. Or shack up with some chick for a few minutes." he said each hand out weighing the situation. "You try to come across like it's some horrible sacrifice because you have to be faithful now."
"To a moose." Dagan nodded eyes wide. "Wide load."
Rolf smirked shaking his head, pushing his hair out of his face. "We're shapeshifters! We spend half the time covered in fur with pointy ears and tails. And you're bitching about the fact Nosferatu's a large girl? You need to get your priorities straight." sniffing, he licked his lips smiling wide. "None of this matters. My point..." he nodded at his buddy, the smile giving him deep laugh lines and causing his blue eyes to sparkle. "My point was, I know Nosferatu better then you." he turned and walked down the hall to his room.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 146, chapter 146
The caramel coloured wolf was snarling, snapping his fangs at the woman. He backed up a few steps, circling to the left when his nose twitched. The air shifted just an inch, filling with the scent of the other werewolf.
Within a blur of soundlessness, the woman who had been trying to kill him only a half second ago, was split in two pieces, her blood covering the wolf's muzzle. Licking his face, the large wolf snorted in disbelief.
Meanwhile...
Our heroine felt something tickle at her ears, causing her to move in that direction without thinking about it. The Seer was in trouble, she could smell the dampness of sweat on his fur mixed with the underlining of sandalwood and nutmeg. She found herself suddenly a few feet from him and a woman dressed in red leather. How did an amazon manage to find them this far from the main part of the kingdom?
A rage exploded from Nosferatu as she crept up behind the woman, her one hand under the woman's chin, her other at her waist. She cranked then twisting her in both directions at once with a force she'd never known before. Blood splattered like a hose as the limp body came apart in the vampire's hands.
Opening her mouth, our heroine let out a sound that was more then a scream as she threw her head back. The wolf yelped as he took off as far from her as he could, his delicate ears hurting from the roar.
He watched from the edge of the woods as the vampire stepped over the body, her nails long sharp glass like claws, her usual row of double top fangs now a row of four. Her eyes which normally turned pure white exposing her banshee nature as if there were nothing in the sockets, had small pinpoints of amber-grey. Her eyebrows suddenly gone as two bumps now protruded over her eyes. The female's usual soft pale cheeks were higher, sharper looking, down right grotesque. She moved another step ripping the dress from her, kicking the shoes off as the magic mist engulfed her; leaving a pair of black yoga pants and oversized t-shirt in it's wake.
Then she whistled. Whistled the same way Rolf did when he was impatiently wanting the attention of Reuben or Dagan. "Change out of your fursuit, meet me and Leo in Ash's room. We need to have a family meeting."
Meanwhile...
Rolf stumbled in the darkness, his eyes suddenly feeling as if someone had blinded him. He stood there, blinking over and over again, his one hand near his face.
"You alright?" Reuben asked reaching for his friend. Rolf sniffed nodding that he was.
"It's nothing I hope. Just felt..." he ran his finger then over his forehead. "Must have gotten stung by something. Feels like my face is swollen."
"Na, you're fine man." Reuben shrugged.
"Fine. Fine? You call this fine?" Dagan remarked as he stopped pacing and pointed at the large male. "Look around me and tell me what you see!" he rocked back then on his heels. "Nothing! Right! You see nothing but darkness. Darkness that even we can't see through." he waved his hand out to the side smacking into something. "Oh hang on." he flicked the light switch. The room lit up then with what seemed like a thousand tiny pinpoints of golden glowing orbs. Leaning backwards to stare at the ceiling, Dagan licked his lips. "What are those stars?" he asked turning around on his heel.
"No, souls." a voice said from overhead. The three shapeshifters turned as one to stare up at the balcony across the room. Loki was standing there, just under a branch of the nearest grouping of lights. "This boys, is where life and death are controlled. This is where you will call home for the next while. Each light on this tree is a soul. When it starts to dim that means you are needed. The stronger it glows, the younger the life." he moved down a flight of stairs towards them, pointing to a large filing cabinet on one side and a bookshelf that spanned the whole length of the room on the opposite wall.
"Oh my god, there's paperwork?" Dagan said slumping his shoulders, arms loose at his thighs as he let his head loll against his chest. "No one said anything about paperwork!"
"Dagan, there's always paperwork." Loki grinned, gesturing to the wall. The walls and ceiling were like one large version of the carving Rolf had seen on everyone of the doors while he'd been imprisoned. The large dark haired male cringed as his strong fingers then scratched mindlessly at the scar that never healed, running from his shoulder across his chest to his hip. It started to make sense then. "Welcome back to Valhalla." Loki continued clapping his hands together.

Dearest Blog:
Day 2 of having no water in our building because the street outside is ripped to pieces by construction workers. That sucks.
As I sit here, ready to cry because more then once I've packed a box and had it fall apart scattering everything everywhere, namely on my foot, I decided to just take a break for a few hours. Just do nothing. And while doing nothing, I started to think about how it's been a week since I blogged about anything, and also about the movie Julie/Julia. How, both Julie Powell and Julia Child manged to continue to work on their respective cooking projects and write about it all while moving homes. (granted they had husbands who helped with the moving) This led to me wondering how it is in such a modern time, I can't seem to accomplish this gift at multitasking?
Sad, but true.
Love Me
I'm am jotting down notes here and there in bits and fits for The Nosferatu Adventures, and hope to have more then ten minutes to actually type it up later in the week.
In the meantime... June 24th, in Canada and the U.S. is the release date for The Witches of East End Season One DVD, and the second season will return to Lifetime networks on July 6th. (Canada and U.S. not sure about anywhere else)

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 145, chapter 145
She took a deep breath, the sharpness of the air cutting her lungs as she moved back in the direction of the lake.
"Hey, we weren't done." Dagan said struggling to zip up his pants while following her.
"You had your three count." she turned to look at the auburn haired male, grabbing him by the back of the neck pulling him down to her height. She planted a quick kiss on his mouth, instantly wishing that she hadn't let any emotions show. "Come on, Rolf needs our help."
Dagan screwed up his face tilting his head to the side. "Rolf's not in trouble. I don't hear anything."
"He's in more trouble then you think. Which he was about to explain to me when you ran in playing tarzan." She continued on towards where she knew she'd left the large werewolf, her shoes crunching as she did. She found Rolf sitting with his back against a rock, eyes closed, a small bonfire started and a few pigeons roasting on it.
Sitting down beside him, our heroine reached up and removed the stray feathers from the large male's long dark hair.
He opened his eyes looking at her sideways from under his hair. He couldn't help but grin, nodding more to himself than either of them. "You earned your stripes back." he said nodding then to her own hair. "I don't know if I should congratulate Dagan for getting his alpha position back or pity you for being stuck with him?" Licking his lips Rolf then turned to look at her fully. "You are something you know that?" he shook his head, lips then in a pout. "I can't think of any other female we've known over the years who would put up with his mood swings the way you have."
Nosferatu noticed the burns on his neck and wrists still had not started to heal from where the collectors had used silver chains. Resting her hand on his elbow she shrugged. "So, you ready to fill me in on this?"
Dagan was in the lake, having decided to cool off after his own crisis was solved. Rolf shook his head again, grinning at the female, running his fingers through his hair to brush it out of his face. "Na. There's nothing to fill you in on. I traded my soul and now I have to be a man about it and live up to my end of the deal."
"Yeah that doesn't work for me." she stood up. "Loki!" she screamed. "Loki!"
"What are you doing?" Rolf asked getting to a standing position himself.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm calling the god of shapeshifters to undo your stupidity. Loki!"
"Little girl, it just doesn't work like that. You have to do a summoning ritual for the gods and even then they don't always show up." he flicked his long hair out of his face, only to have it tangle around his massive shoulders. He took a step forward, reaching a very strong arm out towards the vampire, his fingers just grazing her shoulder when he howled in pain. More large blue bolts of electricity shocked them both just as someone cleared their throat behind them.
"I do love hearing the way my name sounds when a female screams it." the dark haired god said leaning then against a tree. "What is it this time?"
"Rolf shacked up. Undo it." the female replied, letting out a deep breath. Loki sniffed as he moved closer to them, looking towards Dagan as he suddenly emerged from the lake.
"I already talked to Odin about that. Here's the thing. I can't undo it. I want to, but I can't. He made a deal and Odin is not the kind of guy who you can worm your way out of things with." he cleared his throat again, moving closer to Rolf, patting his shoulder. He began to circle the tall broad shouldered male, winking at our heroine as he did, running his tongue over his lips."But, he's agreed to let you earn your soul back."
"What do I have to do? Name it." Rolf replied, watching the god as he continued to circle him.
"There's a bit of a catch to this offer. The whole pack will be affected. Even you." the god then moved so that he was within reach of the female. "You should take the time to discuss it as a group."
Nosferatu and Dagan both nodded. "Trust me, whatever it is, the whole pack agrees." Dagan commented. Loki raised an eyebrow.
"Are you completely sure about that?" They both nodded again. Loki clapped his hands together. "Well, you boys need to understand how precious your souls really are. Specially since you're shapeshifters. Your soul is how you shift. Without it, you wouldn't be a werewolf." he shrugged turning a half circle on his heels. "It's why when the Seer was bitten, he got his soul back. In order to be a shapeshifter, you have to have a soul. It's why out of every creature any of us gods have created, werewolves, my werewolves, are the most honest, most loyal creatures. In all of creation. It's why you can not rape, it's why when you choose to claim a female to mate with, you can not cheat."
"Understood." Rolf said feeling suddenly uneasy. "Tell me what I have to do."
"Yourself, Dagan and Reuben will temporarily of course, be responsible for the souls of others. You're already protectors. It's in your nature. But for the time being, you three will be handling people's fates. You will be responsible for helping a soul through the three stages of life. Birth, death and transition."
"Uh...that sounds pretty heavy." Dagan commented as he scratched at his jaw. "I mean, even for us, that's a tall order. What happens if we suck at it?"
"Then Rolf will be handed over to Odin and he'll die."
"Thought you said the whole pack would be affected? That's only three of them." our heroine said her arms crossed under her chest.
"I did." Rolf let out a sound of pain as he doubled over, Loki's hand suddenly in his chest. He removed his arm, a steel blue-silver coloured glowing orb in his palm. Bringing it up to his mouth, he tore into it, biting off a piece before spitting it into his other hand. He placed the orb back into Rolf's chest, then proceeded to grab our heroine with the same hand by the back of the neck, shoving the tiny bite size piece into her abdomen. "Consider this like a safety deposit box. If you boys fail, and I really hope you don't, but if you do and the collectors do take your soul; the vampire here will be hiding a small piece that can revive you."
"And if it all goes well?" Dagan asked his neck craned, shoulders hunched as he rocked back and forth, fists clenched.
Loki grinned. "That's the price for my help. That little piece of soul stays right where it is, and we try my experiment again." The dark haired god planted a noisy kiss on the vampire's forehead. "I told you to think it over before you all agreed but..." he turned to look again at Rolf. "Ironic isn't it? You traded your soul because of your family, and now because of your soul, you might just extend that family." he patted him on the shoulder again as he started to walk away. "Try to keep this our little secret. No flaunting this little loophole. Otherwise, more people will be trying to make deals thinking they can get way with things." He shimmered away leaving the three of them standing there in shock.
Dagan took a step towards them but disappeared into thin air, as did Rolf. The female was left alone in the now morning sun, not sure what to tell the others.

Year 3 Day 88
movie: Interior. Leather Bar.
starring: James Franco, Val Lauren
genre: Drama, Mockumentary, Documentary,
year: 2013
format: online Netflix Canada
plot: Follows James Franco and Val Lauren on the set of a movie.
Seriously, I wish I could really give you a proper plot, but it doesn't really come across as having a "true" plot.
You are never completely sure if you are watching a documentary that is a little tongue in cheek or a full on scripted mockumentary. Either way, it's real message seems to be about sexual expression and pushing the envelope.
The "lead actor" is hired to recreate a scene from the 1980 movie Cruising, and the camera follows him around for half the day listening in on his conversations with some of the other actors and about their comfort level with the material. I honestly could not tell if that was the real deal or if the whole thing was scripted?
There is a few short scenes of real sex happening in this film. Which, given that there is a scene dead center in the film with Franco fighting for the right to have in mainstream films, what is traditionally pornography, it gives them so much more weight.
I've never personally seen the movie Cruising, so I can't tell you exactly how "true" Franco's "vision" of the missing scene is, but I can say I like his balls for doing this. (pun intended) I have to admit, when I heard about this film having a bunch of naked men in it having real sex, it's what made me check it out. I'm not going to lie and say that I decided to watch this film for the cause, but I'm glad in the end that I did.
In the speech James Franco gives about how as a society our morals are slightly blurred, he makes a point about how violence has become elevated in everything to the point we're desensitized, and anything sexual still gets shamed. His co-star also makes a great point in saying that there is a time and place for everything, and society needs to find a balance for it all.
Did I think it could have been a bit longer with a clearer message, yes I did. Did it make me want to watch Cruising? Yes it does. And at some point, I'm sure I'll hunt down a copy and watch.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 144, chapter 144
"What do you mean you traded your soul?" our heroine asked as she bit into her wrist offering it to Rolf. The large werewolf shook his head, refusing to let the vampire's blood heal his wounds. Sniffing he got back up to a standing position, heading deeper into the woods towards the lake.
Meanwhile...
The witch Kendra smiled as she stood on the opposite side of the room from the two werewolves, her eyes never leaving them. "You two have traveled along way together. Seen many strange things, done many strange things." she lowered her voice just a notch as she ran her hand over the deck of tarot cards that were sitting on the edge of her table. "Love has brought you both here. A common bond, but..." she flipped the lovers card tapping it, "...a choice had to be made but not one either of you are completely happy with." she flipped the hanged man tapping it, then pointed to Reuben. "Sacrifices had to be made in order for, order to stand tall." she bowed her head slightly, smiling then at the dark haired wolf before flipping the three of swords. Her eyes sparkled with the hint of secrets. "Raw emotions, pain, suffering, heartbreak...yours but not yours." she then turned to look at Dagan, her eyes becoming slits. "You boys have really dug yourselves into a dark hole. But one you can come out of, you just have to be honest with yourselves." she moved a few feet away from them then, seeing that Dagan was beginning to shuffle around the room, picking up bottles and jars smelling them, groping the candles, fondling every single item on the nearest shelf.
"Okay lady, enough with the carnival act." Dagan said making clicking noises with his tongue. "Why are we even here?"
"You're here because you decided you should be." she said calmly, folding her hands in front of her.
"Well, for all your wisdom, you are wrong about us." Reuben commented sniffing, flicking his hair out of his face.
"Am I?"
"You said we were looking good for dead guys. Dagan here's the only one who's been dead lately."
"Are you sure about that?" she gestured towards Reuben. "Are you going to look me in the eye and say that everything is working the way it should be with your new mate?"
Dagan turned a half circle to look at Reuben over his shoulder, his hands by his stomach. "What she talking about bud?" Reuben twitched, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. "What's...what's she talking about buddy?" Dagan asked again as he moved towards the other male, his left hand now at his belt.
"Nothing. She's just trying to get a rise out of you."
"Interesting choice of words. I would say that you were the one who had the rise out of you. And not with the woman you should have." Kendra said waving towards Reuben.
Dagan scratched then at the back of his skull squinting, turning his head slightly to the side. "Are you saying that he hasn't claimed the bat?"
"I'm saying that his death earlier in the dream reality undid more then just that."
Dagan growled, pushing his way past his friend, biting Reuben's hand as the other male tried to stop him. "I want what's mine!" He screamed pointing at the ground. "I want my alpha position, and my key." Saliva gleamed on his bottom lip, his eyes wild, forcing Reuben to back off a step. The dark haired male didn't know what hurt him more, realizing Dagan was about to reclaim his status as alpha, or that he was about to reclaim Nosferatu as his mate. Ducking his head an inch, Reuben sniffed, trying not to let his emotions show. He nodded then, turning away from Dagan, feeling his heart break.
Dagan ran back down the tunnels and up the stairs to the barn, sniffing trying to get the female's scent. He threw his head back, howling as he followed it out into the night air, into the still drizzling rain, and towards a large tree. He stopped suddenly, a puzzled look on his face as he caught Rolf's scent heavy on the tree. It was almost overpowering all traces of Nosferatu's, almost. He took a large step to the side then forward, his hands stiff at his sides, his mouth in a frown as he screamed. "Stupid little...is there anyone you haven't shacked up with?" he replied to the tree as he punched it. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath and tried to focus. "If I were a human sized leech..." he rotated his shoulders then his neck. "...where would I be?" he turned then towards the direction of the lake. "I'd be where the blood is." he picked up Rolf's scent following it.
Meanwhile...
Rolf broke the surface of the water, floating his eyes closed. The wounds still were not healing but the large male refused to accept help from the vampire. There was no point. He was already living on borrowed time, why bother to feed off the vampire? He'd seen what the simple act had done to her and the others, to Dagan. The bonds it started to create.
His ears twitched as he heard the trees and leaves begin to crackle from someone moving around in them. Turning, the large male spotted the other werewolf stomp out of the darkness like a crazed animal.
"Where is she?" the auburn haired male asked out of breath. "Did you shack up with her?" he pointed at Rolf. "Answer me. Did you shack..." he turned as he got her scent suddenly, the female appearing out of the bushes to the right of Dagan.
"What's going on?" she asked. Dagan grabbed her elbow dragging her back into the bushes. "Dagan what's wro..." he spun her around sniffing her violently, his eyes having turned to the amber-grey of the wolf.
"I was just told you're not Reuben's." he said bending his knees to be eye level with her. "So, did you do anything with any of the other guys?"
"Oh my god what?" she shook her head in disbelief. "And what do you mean not Reuben's? He claimed me the last full moon..."
Dagan shook his head, his hair falling in his eyes. He felt his stomach flip as the female reached out and brushed her fingers through his hair fixing it for him. "Whatever that little dream world we were all thrown into, undid that. He's not the alpha and you're not his mate. So I need to know this second, have you done anything in the last few hours with Rolf or the Seer or anyone?"
"No. Why would you even ask that?" she shook her head again trying to make sense of what he was saying to her. Dagan licked his lips looking around them feeling like a strange electric current was suddenly building up at the base of his spine. He guessed the sun was soon to rise, which meant he had very little time to secure his position again as the pack alpha. If he didn't reestablish himself as the pack alpha quickly, it would revert back to Reuben at sunrise.
He pulled her farther into the darkness, mumbling to himself until he found a large tree. "Dagan! Dagan! What are you..." Her words were cut short as all the air was knocked out of her as he pushed her against it.
She felt the heat of his hands then at her waist as he bent his face to her shoulder, mumbling over and over again that he was desperate and that he didn't want to fight Reuben. She shocked herself as she nodded against his neck, then heard the sound of his zipper.
Tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine... me (straight up story. I guess that would be an invitation for destruction...)
