Top 5 Movies about Writers

 There are so many movies out there that have been based on books, as well as the amount of movies that have tackled the topic of the writers.  These are some of my favourite films that deal with the author.

I have to admit, I normally stop at just 5 in a listing, but this topic is so close to my heart that I had to add a few extras in a Bonus list.

5. Mrs Parker and the Vicious Circle


Now, some might be thinking that Julie/Julia is just a foodie film, and on the surface it is, but the subplot here is that both women were writers.  Julia Child wanted to be a cook and found herself writing a cookbook, articles and letters to people in the food community; and Julie Powell wanted to be a writer and found herself cooking and blogging about it.

Another thing here, half the films in this list(s) are Bio-Pics. Not too mention, three of them have to do with Hunter S. Thompson.
