First thought when I watched this was damn everything is so old. My second thought was, damn this was almost like watching a piece of history. (which all movies are technically speaking "pieces of history") Third thought, what was with the movies/books/tv shows of the late 80's/early 90's with all these cyber-punk style stories? (Johnny Mnemonic, TekWar, the Net, Matrix, Hackers)
This movie was done at a time when people were still just beginning to "live online" as the lead character points out more then once in the beginning of the story. Kinda spooky when you think about it, ironically, that society has become what it has in under one generation.
We talk online, read online, watch television/movies/sports online, order food/shop online etc.
It's another one of those I didn't really love it, I didn't really hate it.
