This is based on a series of books

This is like Sex and the City for teens.  The topics are not what you would expect for a movie geared for teenaged girls, but it does hold it's own through most of it.
Death and grief are the main topics in the storylines, giving three of the four characters their depth.
The fourth character is dealing with her first love. 

I found the balance doesn't really work. It's just a slight bit off kilter and heavier then I was expecting.

what do i think i learned from this film?
Nothing can ever stay the same, and growing up is never as you pictured it.
