This is based on a book.
This was another one of those films that tried to stuff too much into a short amount of time. I did like this movie though.
I know this was geared more to kids, but some of the themes in this film are more suited for adult situations.
There is one piece of the plot that sort of felt thrown in for no reason, when Percy's mother comments about why she married who she did and why, it feels like it was a last minute thought (I have not read the book so I can not compare the storyline)
what do i think i learned from this film?
You can not pick your family, but you can pick who becomes your family. You have to stick to your guns no matter what.
