plot: A sheik wants to bring a new way of life to his desert community. He believes that introducing salmon fishing to his area would be a good place to start as it would help to bring vegetation back to the desert. Two British government workers are assigned the job. One, a fishery expert does not at first think it's a good idea, but soon starts to see the promise of it.
This is based on the book of the same name.
This had me crying. It's a romance but it's also a story about how we have let ourselves settle too often for things that have long since stopped making us happy.
It's also a big social comment on how governments are clueless to what their communities really need.
what do I think i learned from this film?
You have to continue to believe in the impossible. Everything starts off an nothing more then an idea, and if enough people think it's worth working towards, then it will become reality.
