You're given a chance to fall down the rabbit hole with one of the best comedic-action heroes and see the world through the looking glass that is Hollywood. And it's not always sparkly or pretty either. At lest not the Hollywood of Campbell's life. It's more the I'm covered in something that is toxic and my co-star smells of something bad and it's raining and I forgot to put the roof up on the rental Hollywood.
Campbell lets the reader in on his personal struggles as well as sharing the journey it took to have Man with the Screaming Brain made. {which took years}
Along the way you find out what was really used in the fake blood he was constantly covered in as his most famous character Ash, and how he became part of the Raimi troupe.
What I took away from this was to never give up on your biggest dream, and the best quote ever... "I am not a spore"
