I have to admit, this is one movie that I come back to over and over. I think it's a base idea that even though the original book was written nearly 200 years ago, the themes are things we still can identify with. Maybe because of the state the world has gotten with the idea of celebrities and status?
There are a few scenes where the character of Marianne quotes lines from a sonnet by Shakespeare which asks the very core question of this film - is love a fancy or a feeling?
what do i think i learned from this film?
Love true and never be afraid to show your love, wither it be a loud love or a quiet one. There are too many people on this planet who are out for the things that they think they want and will do whatever they have to, to get them even when it means hurting others so you have to be strong enough to handle things. But don't loose who you are to them out of fear or pride.
