movie: Tyler Perry's Good Deeds
starring: Tyler Perry, Thandie Newton
genre: Drama
year: 2012
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot: A wealthy man who is tired of living his life for his family, helps a homeless woman and her daughter.
It's a typical Tyler Perry film. The main theme here is always give more then you think you can. It's just a very typical Tyler Perry film.
And as in a very typical Tyler Perry film, there is that one music montage that you just could do without midway that just seems to be there to fill time.
It's also sort of predictable. You know who's going to leave who, you know who's going to fall in love with who, and you know that it's going to have an uplifting message. (am I allowed to say it's a very Christian film? It's almost too sanitary.)
what do i think i learned from this film?
That Tyler Perry really needs to rethink his music montages in every single movie.
