Day 48

Movie: Suburban Girl
Starring: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alec Baldwin
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Year: 2007
Format: DVD

Plot: A young assistant editor finds herself in a relationship with an older man and has to deal with feeling like she's living in everyone's shadow.

Based on a book

It starts off with this brilliant promise of being a larger then life New York story, only to fall back onto itself.
There is a gimmick where the lead character is tempted by a pair of leather pants more then once but keeps choosing something more formal. It's meant to show her own insecurities.  How can you succeed if you don't take the risks and keep on playing it safe?

What do I think I learned from this film?
Never doubt yourself as your first response is always the most honest.
