The Nosferatu Adventures
page 102, chapter 102
Dagan stood in the door of the old witch's cabin, the scent of blood hot in the air. It caused him to start to shift unable to control it. He sniffed deeply, his eyes having turned to the amber-grey of the werewolf, his fangs exposed, two days of beard suddenly at his jaw, his nails glass like claws.
A simple whiff of blood should not have had that effect on him, but this was different. There was something else about the blood he couldn't identify.
Running into the cabin, he found our heroine biting into her hand and wrist holding it out to something.
"It's not working." she shook her head. "Dagan! You're blood might. Come here and fix it!" wiping her bloody hand across her face at the tears and snot, she closed her eyes taking a deep breath trying to calm herself. The werewolf moved at the slowest speed he could not sure what he was going to find. Then he saw the little body, crumpled in her lap, laying on the folds of her skirt broken and bloody. "I found him on the way home, by the..." she was sobbing in a hic-up. "By...the by the..." the male's eyes glazed over as they darted then from the tiny timber pup to the female's shoulders and chest as she trembled in frustration with each new wave of tears. "The edge of the graveyard."
Dagan reached over grabbing the pup from her, lifting it he realized it was just barely alive. He wasn't even sure his blood could help the creature.
He nearly tore his finger off as he bit into it, letting the blood drip. He tried first to get the pup to drink, then just began smearing his blood everywhere. The whole time, his mate sat there on the sofa red faced and puffy eyed from crying. After a few minutes, just when the male was about to give up, the timber pup's breathing seemed to improve, his broken bones snapping into place. Smiling wide, he placed the tiny animal on a pillow.
He started to rock on his heels, loosing his balance as the female threw herself at him, hugging him tight."Okay, you're getting snot in my hair." he pulled away from her. "What happened?"
"I was with the guys, hunting, and on the way home I passed the graveyard, and the smell of blood just sort of drew me to this lump under a broken gravestone. So I looked and there he was. At first I thought he was already, but then he moved and..." she wiped more tears away.
"Really, you're crying?" he dropped his chin to look into her hazel eyes, trying not to make too much fun of her before kissing her on the top of her hair. "There's something in his blood. I could smell it too when I was coming up to the house." he finally got control of his emotions, and managed to shift fully back to his human form.
"I gave myself a migraine from crying." she whined. The male snorted back a laugh then gestured towards the bathroom.
"You're covered in dirt and blood and snot." he then realized that Dewy and Rufus, the other two timber pups were not in their usual spot in the living room, and sniffed around looking for them. He found them curled up asleep on Reuben's bed.
Twenty minutes later, our heroine walked out of the bathroom, having cleaned up, wearing the flowered dress. The one Dagan had carried around with him the whole time she'd been missing. She watched as he carefully scratched the ear of their newest timber pup who seemed to be doing better already.
"How come your blood worked but mine didn't?" she asked leaning over the back of the sofa. Dagan shrugged.
"Wolf thing. He needs a name."
"Tombstone." she said without hesitation. Dagan raised an eyebrow at her, turning his mouth up in the corner trying not to laugh.
"Dewy, Rufus and Tombstone. Sounds like a boy band. A bad one. Can you sing?" he whispered into the pup's ear. The pup sniffed him, licking his hand then yawned before trying to crawl towards the female.
She reached over to Dagan's face, wiping a small bit of loose wolf fur from his chin."Thanks."
"Finally! A little bit of appreciation!" he started to rock back and forth slightly, licking his lips he rolled his eyes letting them flutter. "I need to talk to you about this." he pointed to the wolf pup. "About something that could really help us solve it." the male let out a low grunt as he moved an inch closer to her, running his hand down her shoulder. "But first, put the new baby to bed. Na, he's fine. He needs to sleep." he watched as she picked up the pup placing him on a pillow.
Dagan turned his eyes to look over his shoulder towards the bedroom and our heroine suddenly found herself there, as if by blinking. Werewolf speed, even after all this time, she still hadn't gotten used to it. The male dragged his thumb across his bottom lip, his mouth open, head thrown back as he leaned against the door frame, having turned his body so that he was directly blocking the threshold to the bedroom. "Where did the others say they were going after the hunt?"
"Didn't. Just that they weren't coming home tonight." she yawned.
Dagan's eyebrows dipped together as worry ridges appeared on his forehead before smoothing out into a serious look. "Cool. This might take awhile." he mumbled as he crossed into the room towards the bed, reaching for the box of letters still hidden under it. Shuffling through them, he grabbed a few tossing them over his shoulder till he found what he was looking for. "Ah, knew I saw it." he held out the page as he flopped then onto the bed. Stretching out, Dagan had a bored look, as the sound of the magic mist echoed in the bedroom. Nosferatu had been reaching for the page when she spotted his boots, shirt and pants melt away. "What? Kept a pair of shorts on." he nodded towards the letter. Our heroine rolled her eyes, her left hand raised to the side.
"Are you serious?"
"What? Don't think you can handle it?" he bit his bottom lip as a mischievous look crept into his blue eyes.
"It's a basic pot roast recipe. Of course I can handle it." she waved her hand at him in disgust. "I'm not doing this tonight. It takes like four hours and we don't have any of the ingredients, like say the roast for the pot roast." she started to collect up the pages he had thrown around the room. "Why do you want that?"
"Would be nice to have some affection. Food equal affection...and I didn't want to share." he locked his hands behind his head.
"You said you needed to talk. What about?" she sat on the bed beside him, as he told her about Loki; leaving out the details of Bacchus, then reminded her about the dream he'd had few days before about the wolves and burying something. Our heroine had no choice but to tell him then about the recurring dream she'd been having all week. Dagan sat back up, his bottom lip bleeding from him chewing on it.
"White wolf." he ran both hands over his face then through his hair; pointing at her. He then pulled his elbow before pointing at her again, swallowing hard. He got off the bed, turning around in a full circle confused, sinking back onto it, as he moved over just a few centimeters so that he had one leg on either side of her, caging her in.
"Focus!" she let her palm slap his knee. "We both had dreams about dead wolves, and their pups. You were burying them and the little boy in mine was digging them back up." she moved away from him, from the bed going to check on the now three pups making sure Dewy and Rufus had their water dish, before bringing in Tombstone on his pillow to their room. She placed him carefully on the floor in front of their closet, with a small cup of water.
"You said something about the child's eyes?" Dagan asked scratching his stomach.
"Black at first. Completely black. Like an empty socket, the way mine go white when the banshee takes over. The same way the wolf that Finn..." a low growl emerged from Dagan's throat at the very mention of Finn's name. "when he brought that dead wolf that day to examine. The eyes were like that. Just gone." she shoved the male then. "Okay move over. I really need to sleep."
Dagan caught the edge of her sleeve in his teeth, slobbering on it.
"Are you sure?" he nudged her with his nose. "There's a really nice fat dairy cow just down the road. I'm sure it would make a decent enough roast..."
"Dagan! No." she managed to get him to let go of her sleeve and settled in to sleep.
The sun was peaking through the window when she woke. Stumbling back from the bathroom, she noticed that Tombstone didn't look the same. "Hey Ripper, wake up." she reached over slapping his shoulder. "Something's off." The werewolf snored loudly as she slapped him again this time on the hip. Rolling over, he opened his eyes to see what she was going on about. Crawling closer to her side of the bed, Dagan looked at the timber pup who had grown about three inches and another through his shoulders. He shook his head at her as he flopped back against the coolness of the bed, hugging her empty pillow.
"That's because he's not your average timber wolf." the voice said from the corner of the room. Both turned to see Loki standing in the shadows. "You know those larger then usual wolf tracks you've been following. That's what he's going to grow up to be. I guess you could say he's a crossbreed."
"Crossbreed?" Dagan mumbled as he got his barrings, sitting up in bed.
"He's got hellhound in him. He's designed to, once he's full size, to be a very special protector." Loki winked at the female. "And in about a week, full sized." his eyes sparkled as he rubbed his hands together.
"Protect what?" our heroine asked unable to take her eyes off the god. Loki was suddenly in front of her, a green orb with a white core in his hand.
"You. This." the female felt a sharp stab in her abdomen, then a strange pressure as Loki pressed the orb into her guts. "You know, I had planned on doing this the old fashioned way. After you two had been together a few times, shapeshift into meathead over there one night when you were home alone. Make you think that through some spell or some nonsense that it was his. But you two just didn't want to cooperate." he twisted his arm as a popping sound filled the vampire's ears, the pressure moving up her spine. "Then I was thinking I'd have to resort to possessing one of the other guys. But I knew that wouldn't work either. Given the loyalty they all have. Who would have thought that I would out smart myself with that design flaw huh?" he ripped his hand from her, an ectoplasmic slime still connecting them. There was blood at her lips as she started to choke. "You want to know what those boys really think of you? You'd be surprised which one is wishing he'd been faster then old Ripper here, and which one just wants to eat your brains with some BBQ sauce." Loki patted her butt. "At one point, I was even considering just shapeshifting into a female and doing it all myself. Hell, tried it once few thousand years ago, but remembered how painful childbirth was and thought better of it. Besides, you already have the stretchmarks." he winked at her. "And just to let you know. If you try to cut it out, or use a spell or even so much as cry to another god for help, I'll just come here and start the procedure again. Do I make myself clear?"
The last thing our heroine saw before everything went black was Loki's face as he shimmered then disappeared.

Year 3 Day 26
movie: Rise of the Guardians
starring: Hugh Jackman, Jude Law
genre: Drama, Comedy,
year: 2012
format: online Netflix Canada
plot: The Boogyman has started to get revenge on all the other holiday icons, and kidnaps the Tooth Fairy's students, as well as all the memories-thus power of belief- of children by stealing their teeth. As the Boogyman covers the world with fear, the other holiday icons start to loose their powers. Only Frost can help, even though he's spent so much time invisible, therefore only being at half power as the others.
This was one of those films that came up as a "if you liked this, then we recommend this" on Netflix Canada, and something I wasn't really sure I wanted to get into. I'm still sort of on the edge with this one. One of those, not sure I really liked it, not sure I really hated it.
And the point of it was? I think it was about how we're not too old for believing in the positive/imagination of the impossible... I think? It also seems to be about managing our fears, and not judging others.
And, I added the tags of witchcraft/vampires; because of the Boogyman. He is a creature that feeds on fear and depression.

Year 3 Day 25
movie: Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
starring: Kal Penn, John Cho
genre: Comedy
year: 2008
format: TV edit
plot: Picking up just hours after the first movie, the boys are getting ready to go to Europe to find Harold's new girlfriend, but are picked up mid-flight when Kumar decides to smoke pot on the plane with a bong. Security believing it's a bomb, send them to prison in which they manage to escape from. They then decide they need to disrupt the wedding of Kumar's ex, which is cross country.
I've found myself loving both parts 1 and 3 in this series, and was thinking I'd found a piece of gold when I saw MuchMusic was airing this -seemingly unedited- this weekend. But I didn't end up caring for this episode in the series as much.
There were moments when it felt like it had less of a plot, even though it actually seemed to have more of one then the first film. A few scenes had me wondering what they were really smoking in the writing room?
I don't know, part 2 in the film series just left me feeling cheated. I've heard there is suppose to be a part four, then heard it was cancelled, then heard it was back on. If there is a part four, I hope it's better thought out then Escape was.

Year 3 Day 24
movie: Men In Black 2
starring: Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones,
genre: Sci-fi,
year: 2002
format: TV edit
plot: A few years after the events in the first film, Agent J finds himself without a partner, and up against an alien queen. In order to keep her from getting an object that will change who rules the universe, the former Agent K wiped his memory, and now must undergo a list of clues to locate the object.
You've seen me complain before about how sometimes tv edits feel like they are missing major plot points. This case, it just felt like the movie was going in circles. Having Lara Flynn Boyle in a more comedic role worked, I think she pulled off a bit of depth to the character that otherwise would have just come across one dimensional.
It was a bit predictable towards the end, with the one character played by Rosario Dawson. It just seemed to fold in on itself, undoing plots it had set up earlier in the film.

Year 3 Day 23
movie: Grown Ups 2
starring: Adam Sandler, Kevin James
genre: Comedy
year: 2013
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot: After moving back to his home town, the gang are back together just trying to throw a themed party, partly to help celebrate one of their anniversary. Along the way, one of the guys learns he's got a teenaged son.
Okay, why did I sit through this? The trailer looked a lot funnier then the movie ended up being. The jokes weren't that good, there really wasn't much of a plot, and it just blew dog backwards.
At one point, it looked like one of the sub-stories of the stalker character played by Cheri Oteri looked like it might be the most promising outcome, but even that seemed to get left in the dirt.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 101, chapter 101
Reuben was hanging from a low branch by the knees, as he dropped the lifeless body. Burping, he flipped landing in one of his perfect shoulder rolls, springing to his feet.
Rolf turned his eyes up to look at his friend, a grin on his face. "Impressive. He must have been 300 pounds. You drained him in what, 45 seconds?"
Reuben stepped over the sailor's empty carcass as he walked towards his buddy, spitting out a chunk of the guy's flesh. "How's our girl doing?" he asked scratching at his ear. Rolf flicked his hair out of his eyes, laughing.
"She's at lest two ahead of you."
"Yeah, they're smaller guys."
"You're the one who wanted to challenge her to a drinking contest." he sniffed continuing his task of picking the pockets of their hunts. Our heroine appeared in front of them in a blur.
"The one was just filthy. I want to wash my mouth our with soap." she hooked her thumb over her shoulder scrunching up her nose.
"Yeah, you don't look so hot." Reuben commented. "You haven't all morning."
"Bad dreams. Creepy bad dreams." she proceeded to fill them both in on the details of the dream.
Rolf's eyebrows knitting together in worry. "This the first time you've had it?" he asked standing, shaking his head.
"No. I've been having them all week. Since...since my hair." she just felt odd saying since Dagan claimed her as his mate. Both werewolves exchanged a look. "What?"
"White wolf." Rolf cleared his throat not looking at her. "Are you sure?" he licked his lips as the colour drained from his face, making the large male completely ashen. "Well...uh..." he stared at his shoes, his palms suddenly sweating. "It's just a myth mind you, but female..." he felt a shiver crawl up his spine. "Female werewolves are said to have a dream about a white wolf, wolves actually; when they are about to have a liter. Supposedly the number of white wolves in the dream is said to be the number in the liter. But it's a myth, and with you being banshee...you can't even have..."
"Could it just mean we're going to meet some white werewolves?" she asked suddenly feeling sick.
Rolf stood there making a chewing motion, as he let his hair fall back into his eyes. "There are no white werewolves."
"You think it means anything?" Reuben asked little while later as he and Rolf buried their leftovers. Rolf shook his head, as another shiver crawled across his spine.
"I think we should hold off saying anything to Dagan till we know for sure."
Reuben turned to the female who was sitting at the edge of the pond. "You good? You okay?"
"I still prefer your blood. Those two humans seemed...tasteless. Like water. Your's is thicker, like a jolt of caffeine."
The dark haired male smiled at her, leaning on her shoulder, his eyes cast down. "You'll get used to it." he patted her stomach. "You already seem brighter. Like you're glowing...er...um I mean, not glowing but..." She half turned her upper body to stare at her friend. Reuben was in mid-pat when she did, his hand landing on her ribs just under her boob. He then started to push on her ribcage. "Just checking."
"Wanna check your head for a brain too?" she reached up to gently tug on his hair. "Dude, not pregnant. Can't remember. But, gotta say love the fact that the very idea freaks you out so much. The big bads who have done it and seen it all, scared of a myth."
Meanwhile...
Dagan felt his legs start to cramp up, stretching out his back. Letting out a deep sigh, he bent to clean up the alter.
"What's with the page?" the male asked, leaning against a large tree.
"The wolves are dying. Magically. I don't have any leads and need help." he said letting his arms slap against his thighs. Loki smirked as he crossed his arms, Dagan staring at the area above his head, almost afraid to look at him. The god who stood there looked nothing like Dagan had remembered.
Today, he was 5foot 10 with pale skin and brown eyes, jet black hair that was spiked, muscular arms, a square jaw and dressed in jeans and a grey t-shirt that simply had the word Detroit on it.
The god of shapeshifters, the ultimate trickster.
"What, you don't like this outfit? Your girl does." he tapped his skull. "You should see what's swimming around in her mind. All those sharp edges in there." he winked at Dagan, moving around him, his hand on the werewolf's shoulder. "Have you ever thought that I sent her to you for a reason?"
"You put her in my path?"
Loki smiled again. "In a manor of speaking, yes. What, you really think the Magic Ninjas would bother to play the mating game? Please. They're all about serving Osiris. Balance the souls." he spun around on his heels tapping Dagan's skull.
"What are you going to do about then wolves then?" Dagan asked, his voice weak.
"Me? Nothing. I can always make more. The question is what are you going to do about it? Why is it bothering you so much? What are you afraid of?" the god said poking him in the middle of his spine with a thumb.
"I don't have any leads!" he closed his eyes swallowing hard.
"Yeah, you said that already. Stop trying to look at it logically with a reasonable mind. You're a creature of instinct." Loki's voice seemed to have a sing song to it, as the god smiled picking a leaf from the nearest tree and chewing on it.
"My instincts are useless. I can't trust them anymore."
"Back to your girl again I see." Dagan snarled at him. "Speaking of which. I've left her a few presents. Or what have you. Her dreams are an interesting playground. This outfit was the starring role in many of her daydreams. If I was you, I'd be jealous, very jealous." he chomped on the leaf like gum before spitting it out.
"How'd...how'd it even happen?" Dagan asked his right knee twitching, hands at his belt. Loki raised an eyebrow.
"You know how." a small orb of green light suddenly appeared in his hand as he tossed it back in forth.
Dagan rolled his eyes, scratching at his forehead. "I mean, she and I aren't exactly in love. It should have been just..." he shrugged his shoulders as if embarrassed.
"Just shacking up. Sire bond remember. Trumps everything. Look, I don't make the rules...oh yeah I do." Loki moved closer, one foot in front of the other as if he were dancing. "But this one, not completely my rules. Banshee, vampires, not my jurisdiction." he let the orb drop to his shoe as he balanced it on the top of his foot for a few minutes before getting bored. Blowing on it, the orb disappeared.
"Then who? Who do I need to pray to in order to unbind us?"
"She's one of Bacchus's little pets. But ask yourself, if that's really what you want?" he grunted as he screwed up his nose at the werewolf. "Cause, the way you've been acting making sure the sire bond is strong, the jealous husband act, nice job by the way had me convinced more then once, not too mention twice it was severed and you did all but jump through hoops to create it again. That doesn't sound to me like a man who wants a divorce." Loki winked at him. "Ask your mate about those dreams of hers. The ones she's been hiding from you." he shimmered and disappeared.
Dagan turned to pick up the summoning alter when he was startled, falling on his butt. Loki leaned over him. "Do you ever listen to what I tell you? I dropped a clue into that noodle bowl of yours days ago." he smacked him on the head. "Between your nightmares and her's, you two have the answers."
"So you won't help?"
"You want a meeting with Bacchus?" he snapped his fingers as another figure appeared behind him. Bacchus stood 5foot 11, blue eyes, shaggy sandy coloured hair, muscular arms as well, and in the same t-shirt with the word Detroit on it.
"Ho.What's going on here?" he asked smiling.
"Bach! Thought I'd tag you in."
"This your little pet that's bonded to my latest pet?"
Loki nodded. "He's refusing to listen." he scratched his cheek. "He seems to think he can take a count out on our little tlc match."
"What?" Bacchus clapped his hands then brought them up palms upward from his sides. "Before the main event? That's bad form." he started to pace a few steps, making small circles with his hand as he did. "Look see, you're not the lead actor in this play. You're actually the prelude. My vamp, we've got big plans for her down the line. You're just..." he sucked in air between clinched teeth. "...what she has to go through to prepare herself. You're just round one. You and that scooby gang of fuzzbuckets." Dagan growled as he got to a kneeling position, ready to pounce. Bacchus held out his hand freezing him in place. "Bottom line, I had you two connected for a reason. Bending the rules so that you activated her vampirism and binding yourselves in a sire bond, is necessary." Bacchus looked at Loki then. "If my tag partner here says he's already given you two answers to things, then trust me, you've got them." he waved his hand unfreezing Dagan. "Well go."
They watched Dagan get up, walking backwards a few steps, sniffing loudly before turning around and moving at werewolf speed. Bacchus then smiled at Loki. "Where did you dig up these outfits?" he asked raising his hand studying it.
"The mind of your female pet." he smiled nodding.
Bacchus grunted. "Interesting taste. Hang on." he closed his eyes then laughed. "Yeah, seems you are missing a detail." he snapped his fingers as two tag team championship belts appeared on both his and Loki's shoulders. "Seems my fanged pet project prefers these two outfits with these metallic trinkets." he patted his.
Loki scratched his jaw. "I like it." he winked "Your pet really has a thing for this wrestling."
"I incinerated one of my old pets because I was tired of dealing with them expecting all of us to look like something out of an anime cartoon." Bacchus shuddered.
"Hey. Why don't you say, since we've got these outfits on, replacing the real guys for a few months?" Loki raised an eyebrow a spark in his brown eyes.
"Sure what the hell." Bacchus shrugged slapping the tag belt. "I've got not scheduled till May's Eve anyway." Both shimmered and disappeared.
Tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (straight up story. I really miss the MMG Now that was a tag team.)

Year 3 Day 22
movie: Despicable Me 2
starring: Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig
genre: Comedy,
year: 2013
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot: Gru is asked to come out of retirement to work as a spy for the Anti-Villain League, solving a case consisting of a stolen formula that turns cute harmless individuals into monsters, and along the way, falls in love with his partner, Lucy.
Okay, tell me this series of films is not one of the cutest to come out in the last few years? I don't know what it is about this movie and it's original, but I laughed through almost the whole thing. I think it's the yellow minions and their inability to actually talk. Or you know, the YMCA dance just before the credits.
The first film has the lead Gru finding that he's worth more then the life he's been living when he adopts three girls, and this one has him realizing that it's time to get married; I can only assume that the upcoming third film will go with a baby?
What did I learn from this? Don't trust the chicken.

Year 3 Day 21
movie: Superhero Movie
starring: Drake Bell, Marion Ross
genre: Comedy,
year:2008
format: Netflix Canada
plot: A spoof on SpiderMan- a teenager is bitten by a dragonfly and becomes a superhero, only he can't fly.
I have to say, this was a fairly decent film. Wasn't too hot on the scene with the X-Men style Professor in the wheelchair and the wheelchair babies, that just turned me off.
I am actually surprised at how popular some of these spoof films really are. I was expecting a bit more Batman-ish and way less SpiderMan-ish to the story, but this seemed to be the right way to go.
Did I learn anything? Always remember to cut a hole in the mask when making a superhero costume.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 100, chapter 100
The auburn wolf leaped into the room through the open window, landing silently on his feet. Licking his muzzle, he quietly jumped up over the sleeping female to land just as quietly on the far side of the bed. The timber wolf pups were in the hallway on the other side of the bedroom door, howling. They had been for the last two hours. Dagan snorted as he began to stretch out beside the female. Then stopped, there was something beside the pillow. Growling, the wolf picked up the dead bird, jumped back down and tossed it out the window. The timber pups had been leaving them 'gifts' all over the cabin. Growling once more, Dagan again jumped up on the bed, this time he turned to our heroine sniffing her. He then decided to lick her face waking her up before jumping back down to the floor, shifting into his human form.
"You're disgusting!" the female screamed as she wiped her face in the blankets.
"You were going to sleep with a dead bird in the bed. Who does that?" he asked scratching at himself.
"You weren't even going to get human were you? We need more beds." she yawned. "Seriously, no matter how often I wash the sheets, everything in here smells of wet dog."
The werewolf curled up beside her. "Na. I've spent more time in human form in the last month then I have in the last thirteen years. Sometimes, I would just spend a week straight wolfed out." he had to put his hands over his ears, the sound of the pups howling was hurting them. Dagan then grabbed the vampire by the wrists, placing her hands over his ears with his own hands over her's. It still did nothing to help drown out the sound.
Letting out a roar of frustration, the male got back out of bed and opened the door to let them in. He was greeted by the two pups going silent and a mess. Turning his head to the side, Dagan stuck out his tongue as if tasting something bad, his shoulders slumping. "We need to potty train them or something."
He spent the next fifteen minutes cleaning up the mess, before finally getting back into bed. He sighed as he discovered Dewy's butt in his face. The little pup had his tiny body pressed as tight as he could against the headboard, perched delicately on the pillow, while Rufus had thrown himself over the female's arm. "Really, you let them into the bed?"
"I let you into my bed." she mumbled.
"Our bed." he said grumbling. Within a few seconds, he heard the two pups snoring and carefully picked them up, placing them on a pillow near the closet. "One more time, try this again." Dagan mumbled as he once more got into bed. He noticed the gap between them had widened, forcing him to reach out pulling the female to him tight. He could tell by her breathing she was still awake as he lifted his head from the pillow to look at her. She tried moving from him but he tossed his leg over her hip. "Would it really kill you to admit you like sharing a bed with me?"
"You're the one naked clinging to me like your life depends on it."
"Not my life...maybe the next twenty minutes?" he nuzzled her ear with his nose. Dagan then made the next biggest mistake of his life.
He kissed her.
No wolfing out, no rage, no jokes or insults, just a simple kiss. Moving from her a few centimeters, he scratched at his ear, balancing himself on his elbow, reaching for the blankets pulling them up to his chin tight. "Does this quilt make me look fat?" his voice cracked forcing him to clear his throat. The female couldn't hide her smile as she patted him on the jaw, her eyes caressing his frame. A bright red aura seemed to outline the werewolf's head and shoulders suddenly, little sparks of gold running through it like glitter. He then started to fix his hair in the dark.
"You? Nervous? Huh." she traced a pale finger down his nose before settling back to try to sleep. Dagan bit his lower lip as he shot a look over his shoulder towards the bedroom door. They heard the main cabin door then open and close indicating Reuben was home.
"Don't flatter yourself, I just caught his scent in the yard." he tapped her nose then. "Contrary to popular belief, even I have some dignity."
She was sitting on a park bench, the sky clear, a light breeze rustling the leaves, the grass, carrying on it the scent of lemons and pine. A little boy ran up to her, holding a handful of purple flowers, Forget-Me-Nots. He was very pale, with messy hair the colour of dried apricots not really a redhead but not really sandy-brown either. His eyes completely black as if they had no pupils. Blinking, he smiled at her, his eyes then changing to that of the wolf, as he handed her the flowers. "Come on mommy I have to show you something." He ran back towards the playground, stopping twenty feet away jumping and giggling. Nosferatu got up still holding the flowers and followed him, but quickly lost sight of the little boy. "Mommy!" she turned to see him running in circles to her left, his t-shirt now covered in mud, a black substance dripping from his nose. Waving his hands, the little boy was beside her again. "Mommy! You're too slow. All them will be gone before you get there." He grabbed her hand dragging her towards a large sandbox piled high with bones. "Can I have this one? I promise I'll take care of it." he asked grabbing a white skull that was clearly from a wolf. Nosferatu looked at him again, trying to understand where he had come from. "Mommy, mommy mommy...why don't I have anyone to play with? Why are all the others afraid to play with me?" She tried to answer but couldn't speak. The little boy turned back towards the bench, suddenly turning into a small white wolf before disappearing.
Nosferatu woke to the feel of the bed shaking. She found Reuben kneeling over her, his hand on her hip. It wasn't the bed that was moving it was her. "You up? Good. We've got company."
"There's a man bleeding on my sofa. Why is there a man bleeding on my sofa?" she said stumbling out into the livingroom, the smell of blood hot in the air like cooper and salt. He looked familiar only nothing was coming to mind as to how. Then she realized it was Jance, one of the Queen's advisors; only he'd shaved his mustache.
"We found him like that promise." Dagan said hands in the air, a look of innocence in his blue eyes. "Said he needed to see the Seer." he wiped his feet as a grin appeared on his face. Dagan found that to be funny. "He's got a thing sticking out of him." pointing towards the arrow that was stuck deep into his side.
Our heroine looked from one werewolf to the other, knowing full well neither was going to even try to remove it. Sighing, she told Jance to brace himself as she twisted the silver tipped arrow out. Blood poured out of his wound faster, causing him to spasm and cough. More blood then at his lips. The female swooned as the smell filled the air, her ears pounding with it; her nose tingling.
She was outside before she could blink, Reuben having literally scooped her up, carrying her away from the sight. "Dagan will take care of it. I'm going to take you to the docks."
She nodded, licking her lips, her fangs cutting into her lower one. "You guys are always saying I should feed on humans, so just let me."
"Can't. He hasn't done what he came here for. We're going to go get the Seer, then take you to the docks." Reuben's voice became pinched as he started to shove her out of the yard.
"He's not going to make it that long if one of us doesn't turn him." she answered, having to take a deep breath.
"No one's turning him. Understood." Reuben's hair was falling between them, swinging against her face. "You are not making that man into a vampire, his blood was tainted. The arrow was in him too long. Even if we wanted to turn him into a werewolf, we couldn't because we can't ingest his blood."
Few minutes later...
"This guy came to the Fort about two weeks ago. Was thrown into the death matches. Won all of them. We're talking like forty or so. I've never seen a fighter like him. Not human anyways. So I tested him for being a werewolf, but he came out clean. Then this second guy shows up few days after that looking for him. Said he could help make the guards stronger. The second guy was a witch or something. Started using parts of the dead guys who had lost in the matches in some ritual. Next thing I know, no one's dying in the matches. At lest, not staying dead. I know the Seer was a witch, so I thought, he might be able to help." Jance said coughing up more blood.
"That would explain those super guards you were fighting the other day." the Seer commented to Dagan. "The black oily blood."
"Have any idea on this?" Jance said as he leaned over vomiting. The Seer shook his head no as he got a glass of water for him.
"This is really going to hurt." he said placing both palms on Jance's stomach, chanting under his breath. The blood began to clot, the wounds slowly closing. Jance screamed as his body began to spasm again, feeling like he was being sliced into from the inside out. After the first two waves of pain ripped through him, it started to lessen. Moving from him, the Seer smiled wide having fixed the internal injuries. "We need to stitch that up." he said pointing to the small outer wound.

Top 5 X-mas themed movies
I'm not a Christmas person. Never really have been. But, I thought, what the hell, I'll do a top 5 list of x-mas movies that didn't make my skin crawl.
1. Nightmare Before Christmas
2. The Munster's Scary Little Christmas
3. Christmas with the Kranks

Okay, yeah this was harder then I thought. I was thinking I was going to have to stop at four, but then remembered that Edward Scissorhands, has more then a few Christmas moments in it.
Tim Allen is in two on the list, and the other three are gothic styled.

Year 3 Day 20
movie: We are the Millers
starring: Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston
genre: Comedy,
year: 2013
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot:
A neighbourhood drug dealer is asked to smuggle a large amount of drugs over the boarder from Mexico, and hires people in his building to pretend to be his family in order to have the perfect cover.
Sounds like a mess. But, it actually ended up being a really funny film. There were moments when all I could think was that it seemed to be a little bit like the opening plot of From Dusk till Dawn.
There were moments when it just seemed to be like watching mud, such as when the "pot baby" is run over by a truck and they give the lamest excuse for having lied to the other vacationing family.
I could see this having a sequel in the style of the old Chevy Chase National Lampoon Vacation films.

page 99, chapter 99
"That is the cutest thing I've seen since I looked in the mirror this morning." the Seer said pointing at Dewy. He watched as the timber wolf pup jumped and chased a bug, as Rufus lay on the sofa beside them, his tiny face on his paws.
"Dagan's turning us into a daycare." the female answered as she reached over his shoulder, pushing a stray lock of hair out of the Seer's eyes. A small growl came then from the area by their feet causing both to look at the little pup. Dewy, it seemed did not approve.
"I stand corrected, that was the cutest." he touched his hand to her cheek, his seduction spells sending a wave of relaxation through her. "Have you told Reuben yet about what we learned?" The female shook her head as she leaned on the Seer's shoulder, her arms then around his waist; snuggling.
"I still don't have proof." she sighed closing her eyes. "I mean, yeah it seems logical enough. Leo being his grandfather, but...and if he is, how is he going to take it? How's Leo? Not too mention have you considered the fact he'd be related to you? They both would." another small growl was heard as Dewy jumped up on the Seer's leg clawing at him.
"Well, Leo wouldn't actually be related cause it was my great aunt he had the baby with, not my grandmother." he pantomimed the word 'ow' as the little timber wolf pup bit his hand. "Why's he doing that?"
"Yeah I don't know." the female then leaned over picking him up, holding the little pup on her lap. Dewy clumsily managed to move to the Seer's lap and promptly peed on him.
"Dagan teach him that?" he asked
"Wouldn't put it past him."
The Seer went to clean up, as the female walked into the kitchen finding a bowl filling it up with water for the two pups, and taking a handful of bacon she had cooling for them placing it on the floor. Walking back out of the bathroom, the Seer hooked his thumb in the direction of the bedroom.
"You're not actually shacking up with him are you?" he ran his hand through his hair smoothing it in place, a devious smile on his perfectly pale lips. "You do realize that regular wolves mate for life right?"
"And this has what to do with us?" she asked as the two timber pups started whimpering and scratching to be let out. The Seer scratched the back of his neck, the seductive smile making his eyes sparkle.
"You didn't answer my question."
"I have no idea why you're asking."
"It's one of those things werewolves have in common with timbers." he gestured towards the now open door, as his sensitive hearing picked up the sounds of the two pups chasing a squirrel. "Once a male werewolf has claimed a mate, he's locked in for life. Literally physically unable to cheat." he closed his eyes dipping at the knees then bouncing. Tilting his head, he ran his hand through his hair again, this time out of what our heroine thought was nervousness. "It's the weird protective loyalty werewolves are prone to. I have this..." he turned his lips up into a pout as he shrugged. "...this unnatural desire to make sure you're okay. And maybe a part of me hopes you're not shacking up with him so that after awhile, he suffers." he smiled wide, his eyes flashing the amber-grey of the wolf. "Why do you think having a mate holds so much status? It's not something to be taken lightly. Think of it like a safeguard to keep them...us...male shifters from just saying they have a mate for the automatic alpha status it gives, or as a way to keep 'em...us, from taking a new mate every time they are challenged and dethroned. In case you haven't noticed, the rest of the pack are flying solo." his voice raised on the last sentence, his left arm gesturing wildly.
"Sometimes, you make me really want to poke your eyes out."
"But not now right? Now you want to make some more bacon for me." he pointed to the frypan. "And pancakes, with hash browns. Please. Pleaseeeee." he squeezed his eyes shut begging like a kid. "You owe me for your little baby substitute pet thing peeing on me." he moved another step closer dropping his forehead to her shoulder. "Hear that. My stomach."
"You can cook. I swear, we were with your grandmother less then 24 hours and suddenly you're acting like you are helpless. What is it with males when it comes to stuff like that?"
The Seer started to trace symbols on her arm as he pouted. "Sometimes, its just nice to have someone looking after you." he shrugged as he traced her ear, making her squirm and duck from him. "If Dagan is smart, he won't wait too long to turn this into a real relationship. Not that I want you to let him." he kissed her temple.
The timber pups were wrestling on the floor a while later, while the Seer was happily finishing off his second plate of food. He watched as Rufus strutted away the winner, after making his brother yelp in pain; Dewy sporting a bloody ear. Snorting, Dewy sulked off to investigate the rest of the house, while Rufus took the coveted spot in the sun under the window. Our heroine barely noticed the two creatures as she continued to copy out pages from some of the old witch's books. "Why are you doing that?"
She let out a sound of emotional exhaustion, as she closed the vampire themed binder. "Helps me to think. Besides, all this information, and only one copy of things. After the whole thing with your grandmother's spell book, just thinking it might be nice to have doubles. Keep some of the werewolf laws and lore straight."
"So you're turning that ratty old notebook into a book of shadows?" he scrunched up his nose at her, slightly turning his shoulders as if having been offered something distasteful.
Dagan was at the market square, helping Ash set up a small cart when his nose twitched. Turning, both males spotted the Seer coming out of a small shop, carrying a book. "Shopping?" he grabbed it from him, holding the dark green coloured volume by the back cover, letting it flap against his chest. "It's blank."
"It's meant to be a gift." the Seer replied snatching it back. Dagan smiled, his blue eyes sparkling. He didn't need to bother asking who for. The smile shifted into a snarl as he leaned forward both hands on his belt.
"I know what you're up to. I can smell her scent on you. You lost pal. And no amount of sucking up will change that." Dagan licked the corner of his mouth, pointing at the Seer. "Charm the screech owl all you want, doesn't change the fact I'm still alpha." he ran his hand through his hair fixing it. "Locked down for the next few hundred years."
The Seer said nothing, just smiled one of his too charming to be sincere smiles as he continued on his way. Ash was staring at the younger wolf, one very tattooed arm crossed over the edge of the cart, resting his chin on it.
"Have you ever bothered to stop talking and pay attention? You're so caught up in being top dog that you sometimes miss the big picture."
Dagan shook his head, eyebrows raised. "Okay fine, what big picture?"
"Maybe not everyone is after the status. Dumbass. You are the only one who is really affected by the restrictions of having claimed her. The rest of us aren't, she sure isn't." Dagan huffed as he threw his head back, eyes half closed, mouth open as he processed what Ash was telling him. "I think you need to worry less about your position as alpha and more about the female who helped you secure it." Ash shrugged. "She's already run off with the Seer once and that was after you claimed her."

Year 3 Day 19
movie: Men In Black
starring: Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones
genre: Comedy, Sci-fi
year: 1997
format: TV edit
plot: A cop is promoted to a very secret branch of the government, in order to help police extraterrestrials. After many decide to flee the planet, the agents uncover a plot to kill the prince of one planet, in order to gain access to a collection of galaxies.
Bit of a cult classic. Which, I just learned is based on a comic book.
You know, sometimes doing the write ups for these are easy, sometimes not so much. I don't like giving out spoilers, and even with movies that have been around for a few years, there's always the chance that someone hasn't seen it.
When it first came out a billion years ago...er 16-ish years ago, it was compared to X-Files and Ghostbusters, since then, it's become the reference point other movies/shows are compared to.
Did I learn anything? Everyone looks slick in black. It's a buddy movie at the core, but manages to delve into some basic conspiracy theories, government plots, racism etc; without coming across in a vulgar way. Everything is diffused through the comedy and the abstract use of sci-fi. But when people really look at classic horror and sci-fi that's usually somewhere in the heart of the matter. Demonizing that which is different.
It made me think of some of those cold-war styled movies from the late 80's/early 90's.

Year 3 Day 18
movie: My One and Only
starring: Renee Zellweger, Logan Lerman
genre: Drama,
year: 2009
format: Online Netflix Canada
plot:After catching her husband having an affair, a woman takes her two sons across country from New York to L.A. in the early 1950's. Along the way, she tries to find a new husband but is met with more then a few toads.
This is based on the biography of actor George Hamilton.
It was surprisingly good for a film about conflicting social commentary. I actually got caught up in the film, forgetting that it was a semi-biographical one.
Chris Noth, has a small role as one of the boyfriends/husbands, and it was interesting to see him playing a cruel nearly heartless character.
I liked the running gimmick that every time the older brother got his big chance to be an actor, they had to up and run before he could. It lends to the switch up at the end nicely.
What did I learn? Kindness is not always as it first appears. And the right thing for you might not be what you thought it was in the beginning.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 98, chapter 98
Dagan crouched in the dirt, running his fingers through the prints. They were larger than a timber wolf, but there didn't seem to be any scent indicating another werewolf other then himself and Reuben. Grinning like a little boy, he turned silently on his heels as a mother timber wolf and two pups walked quietly from the brush. The one on the right with a white muzzle pranced up to him, sniffing then pounced on his knee. He was a tiny furball that surprizingly smelled of dew and grass.
"Just think, you were like that once." he commented to Reuben.
"Uh, no I wasn't." he leaned over ripping a large chunk of meat from the deer he'd hunted, holding it out for the mother. "I didn't even know what I was until age 12." he pointed to Dagan's face. "You've got some dinner on you."
The other male wiped it away. "School teacher. I needed something more filling after the little bonding exercise earlier with our female. We've got to get her drinking something other then us." Reuben burst out laughing. "That sounded less x-rated in my head." Reuben fell over then, still laughing, his face red, tears at his eyes. "You're worse then a seven year old with fart jokes. What's gotten into you?" Dagan asked turning his attention back to the pup who was now playfully biting at his hand. Growling, he made the wolf pup yelp as it ran back to it's mother. Reuben said nothing, just handed him a small leather pouch. Opening it, Dagan's eyes went wide as he sat getting comfortable beside his friend. Reaching into the pouch, he pulled out a small speckled egg. "Gremlin eggs? Where did you get gremlin eggs?" he asked popping one whole into his mouth. He was almost afraid to chew into it, remembering the last time they had sneaked off getting high with the eggs. Reuben didn't answer, the drug had already kicked in and the dark haired werewolf was staring at a low hanging tree branch, captivated by a leaf.
Dagan felt something wet at his face, the smell of mud, wet fur and blood itched at his nose. Opening his eyes, he saw the little timber wolf pup whimpering as it frantically pawed and licked his face. The little animal was shaking with fear. Getting up, the male scooped the tiny pup into the palm of his hand, as he crossed to the edge of the brush. The creature started to raise his muzzle whimpering and yelping the closer they got. That's when he spotted Reuben hunched over the lifeless body of the mother timber wolf.
"Must have happened when we were passed out." Reuben said as he continued to examine the body. There didn't seem to be any physical signs of a struggle.
"Damn it!" Dagan's voice rang out echoing enough to scare a few birds from the nearest trees. "How the hell did that happen right under our noses?"
"I have no idea. But the really sad part is, this mommy was about to have another litter." Reuben replied pressing on the sides of the dead animal.
"Wasn't there a second pup?" Dagan asked. Reuben pointed to a log few feet away where the little grey animal was shivering.
"He refuses to come near the body."
They arrived back at the old witch's cabin an hour later to find our heroine sitting in front of the fireplace. Dagan knelt down beside her, the one wolf pup snuggled against his shoulder. Bending his face to her, Dagan rubbed his nose and forehead on her neck, arm and chest.
"What the hell?"
"Have to make sure you are me flavoured...er scented." he held the little pup up then between them, cradling it's muzzle on the tip of his finger gently as he spoke to it softly. "I know she's ugly but you'll get used to her. And what her face lacks she sort of makes up for in being huggable." the male got up as he handed her the timber pup, checking the kitchen for milk. Right away the pup yawned, sniffed her for the familiarness of Dagan's scent. Taking the second timber pup from Reuben, Dagan returned to sit beside the female, placing a bowl of milk on the floor for the two creatures.
"We have got to stop this." Reuben said as he closed the bathroom door.
"You still haven't gotten a handle on this situation?" the female asked as the second pup padded over to her sniffing.
"It's getting worse. Almost none left in the kingdom." Dagan's voice held a heaviness to it she'd only heard once before. The male scratched the first pup behind the ear, a far away look in his blue eyes. "That's Rufus." he said pointing to the second one who had stepped into the milk bowl leaving a puddle in his wake. "And he's Dewy." he said picking up the first one letting the soft wet nose brush against his chin. Dagan couldn't hide the smile as his dimples made him look like a little boy.
A storm started to rumble, frightening the already freaked out animals. It wasn't until Rolf showed up still in wolf form, and curled up by the fire to dry off that the pups settled down. The second he had come in, they had smelled wet dog and ran straight for the large onyx werewolf. Snorting, the large wolf growled at Dagan.
"Why isn't there more?" the female asked out loud to no one as she headed towards the bedroom.
"What'd ya mean?" Reuben walked out of the bathroom, leaning on the door.
"This has been going on for a while, and you're saying only two abandoned pups? Where are the rest of them? And if they're being killed too, why?" she pointed to the large werewolf in the living room, who had one timber pup curled up beside him and one who had climbed on top of his back, stretching across his neck. "How'd they escape?"
"And that's why we pay you the big bucks." Dagan replied pointing at her.
"Pay me?" she squinted at him. He advanced towards her, nodding as he pulled her to him, hugging her shoulders to the point she heard the right one pop, as he rested his chin on her hair.
"You want me to pay you? I could pay you, right now...in that room." he was still giddy. They heard Rolf give another snort as he carefully got up, one timber pup following him, the other he'd picked up by the scruff of the neck in his teeth, wandering back outside.
"Where'd he go?" the female asked.
"Most likely the chicken coop out back." Reuben remarked.
"God, we really need a bigger house."
"I like it here. It's cozy." Dagan commented as he sniffed her hair, then her neck grunting.
"Dude, it's designed for two people max. Not three overgrown shifters and a liter of wild dogs." the female moved from him, closing the bedroom door. Reuben snickered as he patted his buddy on the shoulder.
"Think your bank is closed tonight. No deposits or withdrawals, Better luck next time." he let out a breath as he turned his eyes up to stare at Dagan over his shoulder, before putting his hair back into his trademark too smooth to be human ponytail. His chocolate brown puppy dog eyes filled with mischief.
"What?" Dagan was still standing there chewing on his bottom lip.
"Nothing man. Nothing." the tall male shrugged as he hugged his elbows.
"Na, na. I've known you too long, there's something in that brain of yours."
"She's got a point. Where are all the timber wolf pups? Not to invite trouble, but I don't remember burying more then a half dozen that day. And we buried like six full packs." he scratched his ear. "And you've got to stop insulting her."
"Then we'd never communicate."
tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (straight up story. Dagan's just a softy.)

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 97, chapter 97
Rolf cleared his throat, letting his hair fall like a curtain over his face, one strong hand pulling Nosferatu backwards by her neck. She found herself in the bathroom, a very disapproving Rolf blocking her from the door.
"Why do you always have to be so hard on him?"
"On Dagan?" the female asked. Rolf grunted casting a glance over his shoulder at the now empty front doorway. Dagan had left again.
"He didn't bite you. But this sire bond, close enough. He's never made another shifter before. You're technically his first." the massive shoulders moved as Rolf adjusted his weight from one foot to the other, casting shadows in the small bathroom. He held a hand up towards her, ducking his chin before pushing his hair back out of his eyes. "Okay, look. This isn't a situation I personally would have gotten into. I would have left you human, but he didn't. He saw something I think, maybe, and just..." Rolf was at a loss then for words. "Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, this isn't easy. For him; for any of us. Leo and Ash both buried their wives, who were human. And my aunt who helped raise me and my brothers, was human too. You're pretty much the only non-human female most any of us has spent more then a few hours at a time around. It changes the rules." he closed his eyes frowning.
Nosferatu could smell the rise in his temperature, could hear his heart beating a little faster, pumping his blood that much harder. Rolf was suddenly nervous. She remembered the young version of him she'd met only hours before, on the other side of the time portal. The shy male who even then seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. She took a step towards him, resting her palm on his arm. The large male flinched, just as he had in the time portal. Pulling back a centimeter, she squinted as a strange pink shadow seemed to outline his frame.
"You're scared of me." she traced the outline in the air around his head and shoulders.
"What? No I'm not." the pink outline flashed a steel blue before turning white. Rolf's stance changed as he braced himself.
"I have no idea why, but you are. It's all over your aura."
"You can read auras now?" he blinked scratching his forehead.
"So it would seem." she planted both palms on his shoulders, reaching up on her tip toes smiling at him. "I'm not the bad guy. Not going to destroy your family." she whispered standing flat again. Our heroine then squeezed past him, turning in the doorway taking his hand between hers. "What would you be doing if you didn't have to be everyone's big brother? We all make mistakes sweetie, not all of them need to be cleaned up." she shrugged patting his hand. "You don't have to be the grown up all the time."
"You say that like I have an option?" he chuckled. "The man has always been a sword unbending, then you fall into our laps and suddenly he'd forget his head if it wasn't bolted on." he shook his head slightly, one large ringlet falling over his eyes again.
"God Rolf, not you too?" she dropped his hand moving closer to him, daring to take a sniff of her own. His blood was starting to smell sweet like a spicy ginger the more upset he got. "I can't hurt him. I don't have that kind of power because he does not care about me. I don't understand why you lot all keep thinking Dagan cares? It was cute the first time, but seriously!"
He pulled her back into the tiny bathroom closing the door again in a blur. Leaning one hand on the door to keep it closed, the large male glared down at her, all the humour gone from his face. He let out a slow breath blasting the top of her hair as he did, his eyebrows knitted together in anger. "You can lie to yourself all you want, but don't you dare lie to me! Dagan has been my family for the last thirteen years and I know when he's hurting. You've barely known him...us! for a month. A month!" he spat the last word, his eyes turning to that of the wolf, his nails becoming glass like claws as he dragged his left hand down the corner of the bathroom door, peeling splinters. "I never said you were the bad guy, I know you're not. All I'm saying is be careful." he grabbed her chin, a bruise formed as crimson droplets clung to his nails. "You don't want to end up on the wrong side of my fangs little girl! Unlike that lovesick puppy you've been toying with, there won't be any leftovers when I'm finished snacking on you."
A knock at the bathroom door forced Rolf to end his rant, as he sniffed flicking his hair out of his face, letting go of her's with a violent force. Grabbing the doorknob, he ripped it off it's hinges as he opened it, Nosferatu falling backwards into Ash.
"Smile time fun hour, I see." Ash said wiping his thumb across her blood stained chin then licking it. "He's just worried about Ripper. That and I think he's a bit jealous too that you've settled in somewhat with your role as den mother." Ash said, rocking side to side, his hands linked behind his neck as he stretched. "Rolf likes being daddy to everyone. Gets a happy fuzzy from it." the older werewolf smirked as he leaned closer to her, his nose pressed tight against her neck, tracing circles on her skin. "We need to talk. I've sent the guys on some errands, but werewolf speed only gives us about a half hour. Unless, they get distracted." he tilted his head resting one very tattooed arm on the wall.
"About?" the female asked, rubbing the rest of the blood from her face.
"Leo's grandson."

Year 3 Day 17
movie: License to Wed
starring: Mandy Moore, Robin Williams
genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
year: 2007
format: TV edit
plot: A young couple are put through three weeks of intense couple's therapy leading up to the day of their wedding by their minister.
It's difficult to picture Robin Williams as a minister. A bad therapist yes, but a minister?
It's one of those typical romantic comedies that has you laughing at the craziness of everyday life. There is one scene where the couple have been assigned two robot baby dolls for a day in order to deal with the constant needs of a baby, meanwhile they end up having to babysit for friends, all while shopping for their wedding; the chaos had me laughing and rolling my eyes at the same-time.
This is one of those movies that under all the craziness, it makes you honestly think about how miscommunication on goals can lead to real issues.
Did I learn anything? Only that robot baby dolls are very creepy, they could give Chucky a run for his money in the creep department.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 96, chapter 96
Dagan sniffed as he jabbed his thumb into her side, waiting but nothing happening. He poked at her again, this time leaving a mark. Our heroine arched her back as the scream tore from her. Dagan had to turn his face slightly, wincing one eye squeezed shut. "Sweetheart, welcome back." he snarled at her as he stood. Letting out a deep sigh, the male turned to see that Leo had been the one who had dragged him through the yard. Saying nothing, Dagan then reached out his hand for the female to take, an unreadable expression on his face. She was barely on her feet when he turned walking at lightening speed back into the forest, dragging her behind him. "I'm tired." he mumbled as he finally stopped once they were far enough away from the other werewolves. "You..." he pressed his finger dead center on her forehead. "You exhaust me. You know. You left and I had no memory of you." he leaned towards her nodding. "Rolf though, the big softy that he is, did everything he could to make me remember." he squared his jaw not looking at her. "Why didn't..why didn't you just stay gone? Why'd you even leave in the first place? Huh?" he shrugged. "I don't understand why..." another shrug as he moved a half step, one hand at his waist the other pointing at her. "Why I even care? But I do. Blame it on the sire bond, or the claiming. I don't know anymore."
"Might have to do with both? Or you know your family's curse." she replied crossing her arms. "Either way, we're stuck it with each other for the rest of this life."
Dagan's wrist was suddenly under her nose. "You eat yet?" he tapped his arm twice. "I mean..." he closed his eyes bowing his head an inch. "You don't smell like you've fed in the last few hours."
"Actually, I am chalk full of Reuben. Long story."
"My family's not cursed." he mumbled, titling his head to stare up at her from under his lashes.
"Yeah, yeah it is. Another long story. Clipped version, cheating husband angry wife, big spell that messed with many generations."
His wrist was still in her face, as Dagan sighed rolling his eyes. The weight then of his other hand at the back of her skull forced her a few centimeters forward, smashing her nose on his arm. "I just drained a few liters, your turn." he let his eyes flash the amber-grey. "The sire bond was completely broken. It...it...it scared me. At first, you know when I realized what was going on. Then..." he pouted, another shrug which he held for a few seconds like a turtle retreating into it's shell. "Nothing.. Didn't remember a thing. Horrible chest pains, but otherwise, nothing. Didn't remember you or the last month. All these reminders of stuff, Rolf being the worst one. Refused to let me forget. Then, there you were again, and the pain in my chest was back. Literally." he tapped his chest in the middle where his heart chakra was. "And I remember everything. Ev-ery-thing." he dragged out the word rolling his eyes again. "So we have some siring to get back to, some bonding to catch up on."
"God, there really are two sides to you." the female struggled with the sentence, too much saliva suddenly in her mouth, her gums aching. She couldn't resist anymore, the blood was pounding in her ears now, threatening to drive her over the edge, echoing like a river sloshing in a cave. The scent of it, of him, of the sweat mixed with the soil from the garden clinging to him, the blood on the corner of his mouth he'd missed. Her blood. It was too much. Grabbing his arm, the vampire bit down hard, hearing the puncture of flesh, feeling him tense and slightly turning his arm as he had second thoughts.
The werewolf snickered, sticking his tongue out panting as if in wolf from still. He'd won yet again. Ripping his wrist away he cracked his neck. "That's enough. I'm getting dizzy."
Nosferatu nodded, wiping her mouth as she moved from him. Then she stopped, turning to stare at Dagan. It was the first time she'd looked at him, not just looked over the male; at his beauty, but really examined him.
For all the cruelty and rage he had, that Dagan used to fool others into thinking there was more to him, that he used to allow others to feel like they knew better about the nice guy underneath it being the real gold, for this dark side; there was truly a lost hurt creature there too. Too bad for the female standing there sired to him, at lest with the cruel side of him she knew where she stood. But the sweet good guy, his emotional baggage was too much to bare. It was Dagan who frightened her the most. She had to admit, she really did prefer Ripper.
Leo Stood on the porch steps, his arms crossed over his chest as the Seer told the others what had happened. The smile on Leo's face brightened up his eyes as he watched the female take the stairs, crossing to him. She hugged him, the werewolf burying his nose in her hair sniffing deeply.
"You okay?" she asked.
He nodded, the smile never leaving his lips. "You have to stop disappearing. Reuben will think you're not available." he winked then leaned closer. Whispering in her ear forcing her to strain so the other shapeshifters couldn't hear. "I had a vision of you dressed in a white gown, a crown of flowers, standing in front of an alter with Reuben and a god blessing you." he nodded again holding her then at arm's length. "When I was in the coma, a very long time ago."
"Are you sure you weren't dreaming of yourself there hon?" she teased moving into the cabin. Dagan appeared in her spot suddenly, cracking his neck then his still healing wrist as he held it where she'd fed.
"Don't do that." he said shaking his head.
"Do what?" Leo asked leaning back against the wall of the cabin, one hand at his belt the other scratching at his ear.
"That." Dagan pointed towards the others, then poked Leo in the chest. "I'm the alpha, that's my insurance policy." Leo grabbed Dagan's hand breaking it before walking away. The younger wolf growled as he began to follow him, but the feel of Nosferatu's hands at both his elbows stopped him enough that Dagan swayed back on his heels spinning around to glare at her.
"Na, you know what?" she stepped back hands in the air in a surrender. "Let him rip you a new air duct. We could use the entertainment."

plot:A documentary film crew are set to follow a new up and coming model on one of her biggest jobs, only she dies in the middle of the shoot. The film crew and the modeling agency continues to work around this little inconvenience.
Necrophilia, addiction and insanity. - 'Pretty Little Death Song' by Headstones
I saw this, and could not get that line from that song out of my head. You can look at this movie from a few different ways, as a satire, as a commentary on how fame is all consuming, or both.
I actually saw a lot of negative reviews on this film on Netflix Canada, most by people who didn't bother to finish the movie. It's actually pretty brilliant. There were more then a few moments when it made me think of the old Roger Corman film Bucket of Blood.
Here, you have a mockumentary/film-noir on the price people will give to be famous. Literally giving up parts of their soul for the chance to feed off of others pain. It's sad given the state of the instant gratification generation.
This movie is funny, morbid, disturbing and more then partially right.
I'm adding the vampires label to this, simply because the entire cast are leeching off of the death of the "lead" character.

Year 3 Day 15
movie:Transamerica
starring: Felicity Huffman, Kevin Zegers
genre: Drama
year: 2005
format: Netflix Canada
plot: A pre-op transgender woman, finds out she has a son from her days as a man, and travels across country to bail him out of jail and take him to L.A. At first, she refuses to tell him the truth, and when they end up at her parents after being robbed, the two both find themselves having to tell the truth about their lives.
A lot going on here. It's a buddy road movie on the surface, but after the first few minutes, you realize that it's a story about self discovery and self honesty. Both leads are hiding parts of their pasts from each other, and some painful memories from themselves. As the story progresses and they come into contact with other characters, layers are chipped away.
I found myself wanting to throw something at the screen a few times, as almost all the characters have points where they are just cruel.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 95, chapter 95
2000...
"We need to see the Troll King." the Seer said
"Troll king?" our heroine asked.
"Yeah, about yay high." he replied holding his hand just around the middle of his chest. "Pointy ears, pointy chin, long greasy hair. He can..." the Seer started to make tiny circles then with his hand, a distant look crossing his face. "...zip around the place like you wouldn't believe. Sometimes I think he's immune to gravity you know."
"And how will this help?"
"He's got something we need for opening a new portal. Sort of like a stabilizer. We get that, and we can focus on where we want to end up with the portal instead of randomly jumping."
"As in focusing on going back to where we started? So not only am I not getting home, you're still in danger." our heroine commented pushing her empty plate aside.
"I hate to say it, but maybe my Grandmother is right about you and Dagan? Maybe you're just not meant to leave him behind?" he shrugged rubbing his hand down his stomach patting it twice. "God I forgotten how good her cooking was."
"I don't need to hear that. Do you know just how many times he's slaughtered me? Too many to count." the female said. "Dagan is baggage. A lump of coal around my neck."
"The thing with coal is, that hidden inside there is always a diamond. You just need to apply the right amount of pressure and have some patience."
"Why would you care? Right now, you could start your own pack. Be the damned alpha." her voice rose as she turned to look anywhere but at the Seer.
"Really?" He threw his head back grabbing at his hair, then bent at the knees. "Oh why didn't I think of that? Grab you, shack up together for the night claiming you and steal the lock 'n' key. Be the head of it all. Thank you for that. Oh right, I can't! You are already claimed. We can shack up together till the end of time, as far as any other werewolf can tell, you're sealed to someone else! It's a type of sixth sense. Don't you get it? All the time you've spent with the guys, think you'd have some clue by now about how the rules! You were only useful in that regard before Dagan claimed you. It's like loosing your virginity, can only happen once! It's why he did it!" the Seer pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes closed then. "He wins! And don't tell me that he didn't plan it that way, cause we both know he did! The rest of us were only a real threat as long as he didn't have a mate. Now he does, like it or not. Unless one of the rest of us, has the guts to challenge him full out in a death match, which no one wants, he's untouchable now. A mate remember, is automatic security. Like the werewolf equivalent of a crown."
"I said start your own. From scratch. Never said anything about claiming me. You know, for a werewolf, you don't hear very well."
Meanwhile...
2013...
The werewolf hesitated as he walked onto the property. He stopped cold, looking at the cabin, his head tilted to the side, his hands at his belt. Licking his lips, Dagan just didn't want to be there suddenly.
"You coming or what?" Rolf asked over his shoulder already at the porch steps, Reuben opening the door ahead of him.
"Ya, I..I'd don't know. Something doesn't feel right." Dagan scanned the area, his blue eyes darting around but not seeing anything out of the ordinary.
"I don't smell anything wrong." Rolf commented as he shrugged. "Suite yourself. I'm going inside." he growled as he followed Reuben.
Dagan rotated his shoulders and cracked his neck as if he were heading into a fight, then proceeded to walk around the edge of the property, still feeling like something was off. A strange scent carried on the air that reminded him of a mix between sulfur and copper. Following it, he silently crossed one foot over the other, his hands now at his sides, fists flexing and unflexing. He found himself standing on the very edge of the property, between the garden and the forest, something rustling the trees.
His eyes flashed the amber-grey of the wolf, as he snarled, turning towards the cabin for a second then back towards the trees. He didn't have time to react as the wind changed and a blinding light flashed twice forcing him to cover his delicate eyes.
The pain shot through his arm and chest again, knocking him on his back as he once again began to shift, unable to stop it. The werewolf felt someone then dragging him by the shoulders back through the dirt, the leaves, the garden itself, unable to recognize who it was through the pain. He heard too many voices calling his name, two male, one female, and more pain as his chest started to collapse in on itself. Blood and saliva pouring from his mouth, and as he rolled over, realized his nose.
Suddenly finding himself in wolf form, Dagan was able to breath again, his eyes still blurry from the flashes of light, but his nose was all he needed right then.
Taking a deep breath, the auburn coloured wolf managed to get up, and followed the scent that was coming off of the female like smoke. Growling, Dagan started to paw at the ground in front of him, his fangs sinking deep into the neck ripping a chunk; then the shoulder of the female as he pounced on her, knocking her to the ground. His muzzle was covered in blood as he snarled once more, before stepping away and willing himself back to human form.
Wiping the back of his hand across his mouth, he crouched beside Nosferatu's dead body and waited for what he knew was next.
tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (straight up story. Dagan was getting a bit soft wasn't he?)

Year 3 Day 14
movie: John Dies in the End
starring: Rob Mayes, Chase Williamson
genre: Comedy, Sci-fi
year: 2012
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot: Two druggies find themselves fighting alien zombies after taking a hit of a parasitic drug that opens not just their minds, but the doorways to other worlds.
When I saw this title, I had to see this film.
Originally a webstory turned novel, this story covers pretty much everything. Anything that has captured the attention of sci-fi fans and detective stories for generations is here. The title is misleading as far as the movie goes - I have not read the book - as John doesn't actually die in the end as much as the beginning.
If you've been reading my stuff much at all over the years, you've seen me say a million times over that I don't care for zombie stuff, but this has such a different take on the topic that I forgot after a few minutes that it fell into that category.
I loved the touches of H.P. Lovecraft in this, with the portal jumping creature and the hallucinations. You're never truly sure what you are seeing.

Year 3 Day 13
movie: Christmas in Conway
starring: Andy Garcia, Riley Smith
genre: Drama
year: 2013
format: TV
plot: A grieving husband decides that he's going to build a ferris wheel in the backyard, so that his wife who is dying of cancer can have one more great memory.
Okay, so not what I was expecting when I read the title of the film. This is not a christmas movie, but a real heartfelt story that just happens to be happening at christmas. The casting was perfect, the plot clear, the acting really believable.
I had a difficult time not crying with this one. It is a made for tv movie from Hallmark.
What did I think I learned? This is all about forgiveness. Forgiving each other and ourselves. The story revolves around the character Duncan and a guy from their past who once stole from them. The two have to learn to accept each other and their own pasts in order to work together.

Year 3 Day 12
movie:Wall street 2 Money Never Sleeps
starring: Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas
genre: Drama
year: 2010
format: TV Edit
plot:
Over 20 years has passed since a major wall street trader was put in prison. Years later, his daughter is about to marry a young up and coming trader, who idolizes her father. Soon, the young couple find themselves in the middle of a revenge plot that takes down everything and everyone they love.
I found that the first hour of this was hard to follow, and chalk that up to it being edited to pieces.
Can't say I liked it, can't say I didn't either. Another movie that got lukewarm feelings from me. This is about redemption, revenge, and sorting out priorities.
What did I learn from this? Nothing.

Year 3 Day 11
movie: Curse of Chucky
starring: Brad Dourif, Chantal Quesnel
genre: Horror
year:2013
format: Shaw Video On Demand
plot: 25 years after the first wave of attacks, the possessed doll is delivered to another family, and as each murder happens, we learn a new piece of the puzzle involving the man who's soul sits in the doll.
This is a great way to re-establish the Child's Play films. It takes you back to the feel of the original film, giving way to paranoia and fear. The fact 90% of this film takes place in the course of one night, helps to elevate the feeling of isolation and abandonment.
It's downright creepy, proving that what made the series of films so great to begin with is still terrifying. And the idea that a soul not only is more valuable then we give it credit for in the modern age, but that our obsessions will outweigh our rational self.
What do I think I learned? Never take anything for face value, and always be careful who you trust. And when a kid tells you the creepy doll moved/talked pay attention and run the hell away fast.

Year 3 Day 10
movie: A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas
starring: John Cho, Kal Penn
genre: Comedy
year: 2011
format: Online Netflix Canada
plot: After their lives have gone in different directions, two best friends find themselves together for Christmas because of a surprise package that is delivered to the wrong house. They soon discover it to be a giant joint and proceed to smoke it. In the process, they destroy the family christmas tree and in an attempt to find a new one, get caught up in a crazy chain of events.
I think I might have gotten hooked on the characters in the first movie, and the second I saw this was available to watch, had to see it. The two actors make an excellent comedy duo, that hasn't been around since Abbott and Costello or Cheech and Chong.
I can't say much about the 3D part, as it was on Netflix and presented in the plan 2D version. But you could tell some of the jokes were set up to only work in 3D. Like the coworker getting egged.
The addition of Danny Trejo as the disapproving father-in-law was a brilliant piece of casting. You rarely think of him doing comedic pieces, but putting him against type was a great casting choice.

The Nosferatu Adventures
page 94, chapter 94
2000...
"Hang on Roo. Didn't you say that you when you were born you needed cpr? That you became a werewolf because you were technically dead?" our heroine asked as she made sure his hair was even. Young Reuben moved from her, a puzzled look on his face.
"What are you talking about?" he scratched at his stomach.
"The day we were going to the docks when I met Harker...which you don't know about yet cause it's way off in the... okay, the you I know, and it's going to sound insane telling the you that you are now; but the you I know was helping me get through a tough situation and told me about his past...er your past...er when you were a teenager, and the conversation went to being a born werewolf vs being a bitten one and...you said you were born a wolf but not really." the female stuck her tongue out as she closed her eyes breathing deeply. "That was a mouthful."
He continued to look at her like she had just hatched into a duck, pulling away from her slightly, young Reuben took a half step backward. "I just told you that I didn't really know my family because they died when I was five."
"Oh crap. I think I might have just told you something that you haven't learned yet." Young Reuben continued to move backwards till he found himself at the end of the walkway, and headed away from the house. As he did, our heroine jumped up and ran back into the house, panicking. "He said that us ending up in the past wouldn't change anything in the future, is he right?" she asked Grandmother, gesturing wildly towards the Seer who was sitting with a large plate of food in front of him.
"That would depend on how much personal impact you have on others." Grandmother replied.
The female threw her head back, her hands slapping against her thighs in frustration as she let out a sound that was very close to a roar. "Great, I think I just ruined Reuben's life."
"That very handsome young shapeshifter I just saw you with?" her hand automatically going to her own hair as her eyes flashed. "Why, what did you do?"
"Oh nothing, just told him something about his past that as it would seem he hasn't learned about yet. So he thinks I'm some sort of insane person." our heroine said flinging herself into the nearest chair.
"Cheesecake?" the Seer mumbled as he pushed a piece of cherry cheesecake towards her.
"Oh that could be a problem." Grandmother smiled then as she held up the book. "On the bright side, I just finished recopying the missing pages so you can create another portal."
"And what if it doesn't work?" Nosferatu asked, slamming her hand on the kitchen table as she grabbed a fork. "Twice now I've tried to get home, and twice I've ended up still mixed in with everyone." she swung the fork around before digging into the cheesecake. "Okay recipe now."
"Yes, Edward was telling me about your adventures." Grandmother's voice took on a soft sing song as she tilted her head towards the seer. "Have you thought that the reasons you haven't been successful at getting home, is because you're not suppose to?" she shrugged flipping pages in the spell book. "I mean, Edward was telling me that your first attempt landed you back in... Dagan is it?" our heroine nodded.
"Seriously, what's in this nutmeg?"
"Landed you back in Dagan's childhood home, and this time you were shot back into the past when he became a werewolf. Maybe you're just not suppose to be separated from him."
"Dagan and me connected forever...oh god." she rolled her eyes slouching her shoulders. "Forget a ball and chain, it's more like crypt and chain."
"The crypt I found you in?" Grandmother asked. Both the Seer and our heroine nodded. "And you tried to get home both times by way of the crypt?" again they both nodded. "Well, that's your problem. The crypt must be connected to Dagan's family somehow?"
"What like a Frankenstein boomerang?"
Grandmother closed her eyes, her hand now at her throat. "That's his last name?" she got up moving around to the book shelf, her finger tracing the spines on the volumes. Grabbing a large leather bound book that was faded, she began to flip through it. "Of course!" she moved then towards the kitchen table, placing the book on it. "I should have known, your hair. Well it was staring me right in the face." she raised her hand palm flat towards the female. "Pardon the pun, but, there was a member of my coven, decades ago who had married into that family. Told the rest of us that the family was cursed, haunted even. Course none of us believed her, thought she was a raving lunatic always talking about how the family were trapped and doomed because of some long ago spell..." Grandmother waved her hand as if dismissing the whole thing. "The coven's history is in this volume here...ah! Here." her face lit up when she found the page."I thought her story was interesting so I wrote it down. But, she claimed that there had been a young bride who found her husband cheating on her, and preformed a very powerful blood spell that would bind all the males in the family to their future wives, keeping them completely faithful. She then committed suicide from the grief, and they put her body in the crypt."
"Okay, I'm so not following this. I must be really stupid." our heroine said.
"I'm not finished." Grandmother raised an eyebrow, her tone taking on a scolding to it. "Every generation since, any female who marries into the family has been unable to break ties with their husbands."
"Yeah, still not seeing how this fits with my situation."
"The portal you tried to open, in side the crypt brought you back to your...Dagan. And the time before that, you were taken to the castle."
"The first time, I was kidnapped. By a large bat like thing. Sort of a servant of Dagan's uncle...who was just waiting there in the crypt. Okay. So we pick another spot to open the portal, something far far away from the remains of Dagan's ancestor."
tune in again for another installment of the Nosferatu Adventures starring your heroine...me (straight up story. Yeah, my curse sounds really lame even to me)

2000...
Our heroine ran into the house and straight to the book they had brought with them. She flipped through it till she found where the missing pages had been ripped out. She then asked Grandmother if there was anyway to repair the book?
"Magically you mean?" Grandmother asked nodding, picking up her version of it. "Yes. But if it's pages that I have now, it would be just as easy and better off in the long run to just recopy them."
"Okay, do you have time to do that? We need to get going as soon as possible." our heroine said, her slim pale fingers suddenly at her forehead as she began to fidget.
"I thought you two were needing a few days? To regroup." Grandmother replied, a look of disappointment on her face.
"I don't think we have the luxury anymore." the female said looking over her shoulder at the male standing on the front steps. Young Reuben walked into the doorway, his hands in his back pockets, his hair a tangled mess.
Meanwhile...
2013...
Reuben paced around in circles as he told the others what had happened. Rolf just sat there, a look of amusement in his sparkling eyes, a smile wide adding deep laugh lines to his face. "You're saying that you were fed off of by an invisible attacker?"
"Raped by a ghost. Wasn't that a thing in the middle ages?" Dagan added, a smile on his own face showing off his dimples. "An excuse the religious freaks used to cover up stuff?"
"Yeah, it was. Incubus and succubus attacks. Real things actually." Rolf added still laughing.
"Come on guys! This is serious." Reuben screamed, flicking his hair around like a child having a tantrum.
"Oh come on." Rolf continued, gesturing to his friend. "You really want us to believe that you were...okay man, if you believe it then I guess I will too." the large male could not stop the mad fit of laughter that ripped from him then. "Believe in the succubus."
Reuben stopped pacing suddenly, his hands in his hair. "Where are the scissors?" he asked mindlessly. Turning around in a full circle, he spotted a picnic basket that had some sewing items in it that the old witch had sitting on a shelf. Walking over he removed a pair of scissors.
"What do you need them for?" Dagan asked.
"My hair stupid." he said matter of factly as he chopped off a handful of it.
Meanwhile...
2000...
"Tell me again, how did you manage to get sap stuck in your hair?" our heroine asked the young werewolf as she sat down beside him on the front steps of Grandmother's house.
"I was in wolf form chasing rabbits. Got distracted, ran right into the guy collecting sap for maple syrup." he commented. "Hey!" he pulled away from her as she tried to separate the clump of sticky knotted hair.
"Rabbit. Some things never change." letting out a deep sigh she dropped her hands to his shoulders. "Okay Roo, this is just too much of a mess, washing it didn't help and it's not untangling. I've got to cut it out. This won't affect your fur when you turn will it?" he shook his head mumbling no. "Okay, I really wish I had a camera for this cause you with about three inches off your hair...priceless." she went back into the house and got a pair of scissors, sitting back down beside the young werewolf.
"What?" young Reuben asked, his chocolate brown eyes filled with mischief.
"This. You. The Reuben that I have gotten to know, is a wolf through and through. Sleep in the darkest part of the forest, hunting, difficult to domesticate to say the lest. Which makes me wonder, where's your family?"
"What do you mean?" young Reuben asked as he involuntarily pulled from her again as she began cutting.
"Born lycanthropes are usually born in litters of three. Twins at the very lest. In the time I've gotten to know you, the other you...you've never once talked about brothers. So what's up with your family?"
"Don't really remember them." he shrugged turning his upper body to look at her over his shoulder. "I was told they died in a fire when I was five."
Meanwhile...
2013...
Reuben whimpered as he jumped onto the sofa, sinking down into it as Dagan ripped the scissors out of his hand. "I think I miss her. The family we were starting to really create here since she...I ever tell you Rolf how much I envy you and your brothers?"
"Okay you're stoned." Dagan said squaring his jaw pointing the scissors at Reuben. "Come on! We've got more important things to deal with like the timber wolves. Time to go see Ash."
