plot:When an book editor is told she's going to be fired and deported back to Canada, she cons her male assistant into marrying her in order for her to get her green card. They then go to visit his family for the weekend, and try to keep them from finding out the truth.
Typical romantic comedy, all happy happy. Bullock has become one of the queens of romantic movies, (is there a term equal to scream queen?) and Reynolds has proved he's able to play any genre and make them work.
This is another of those odd couple teams that works to perfection. Both leads seem to have a chemistry on screen that comes across as natural, which could have a lot to do with them both having perfect comedic timing.
